Poppin' Up to Say...

It's the season of Love, and I have a couple of Valentines made with The
Greetery's newest release, Have a Heart.

The Toaster was an immediate favorite during the release. So classic, with all it's
pieces to personalize with color, a vintage sweetheart!

I cut the pieces for the toaster in red and silver mirror card stock. That gave me 2
toasters. The toast was cut from ivory and Kraft, and then 'toasted' with Vintage
Photo DOI.
Look carefully and you'll see I die cut another piece of the toaster from black
cardstock, to give it a sort of shadow.

The sentiments were embossed with Ranger's Distress Barn Door, the BEST red
embossing powder ever! And believe me I have several reds. It's so fine, and has
a slight sheen. Really love it!
Backgrounds are also Greetery: Window Pane Plaid stamped with Ranger's
Barn door onto red cardstock. And Ribbon Maker Hearts die cut from Vellum, and
stenciled onto pale pink cardstock.

Happy Valentines everyone! Thanks for visiting!

Valentines Feb. '21 A card for Ron

Playing with The Simon Says Stamp Valentines kit, and loving all fun images, tags, papers,
and die that came with the kit.

I included a tag he could use as a bookmark. The kit had so many!

Had to include a chick... we raise chickens (for their eggs), and this silly guy
will always be one my favorites from Stampin Up's Hey Chick.

Hope your day is full of love, and stamping of course!

Love card

We have a new challenge at the Card Concept, Cozy Cabin.

I created a Wedding or Anniversary card with Poppystamps' Simple Leaf Heart Split Border.
It's a beautiful subtle and simple die that I let shine using a wood embossing folder for the
background.

The wedding topper in the background is from parents' wedding cake. My mom kept
it in a cabinet for years, quietly watching over the other knick knacks on the shelves.
When she was failing, she asked if I'd like to have it. Of all she passed on to me, this
sweet piece of her life of 49 years with my dad is my dearest treasure.

Poppystamps' Valentine release is in the shop now, and this love with it's flourish tail
is among my favorites!

The Card Concept Challenge runs for 2 weeks, and we love seeing what
inspires you from the photo.

I used the wood to inspire my Clean and Layered card. But there are many things
you could use for inspiration.
Our designers have lots more inspiration for you.

Poppystamps Challenge: From the Heart

We're thinking love on the Poppystamps blog, with our challenge: From the Heart.
I used the new Floral Lace Heart Split Border Craft die to create my heart card.

A big lacy heart heart has extra drama with the glitter paper. Wish you could see it irl!

Added punch with the 'Love Flourish' die cut from red glitter paper!

Love Birds

It's a gray morning here in my neck of the woods (valley),
perfect for staying indoors, watching the cooking channel,
and being creative with PTI's latest stamps and dies.

Stephanie Gold's video for MIM this week,
shows us it's OK to use many different kinds of papers for our cards.

My colorful bg paper is actually a napkin. Bright and bold, with b&w dots, I decided to
bring out all the brights from PTI.
The sentiment die is Enclosed: Heart, cut from glitter paper and Raspberry Fizz
cardstock.
I have a stash of vintage music papers my daughter gave me, and among them was
one with the words, 'sweet - heart'.
(I know, you don't luck out with that happening often, right?)
I pink inked the edges before all the gluing.
Next was to take my pink crepe paper, gather it, and heat emboss with
Stampendous: Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.

I've seriously crushed over every card I've seen made with the new Brushed Birds set.
These 2 are the small birds stamped with PTI Pinks.

Speaking of crushing, the Farmer's Market Florals? It's going to be hard not
to use them for ALL projects! Gorgeous. I stamped the leaves, first with Fine Linen
then with Vintage Jadeite. Made for an interesting color combo.
The sweet ferns are from Make It Market: Wonderland Kit. (Olive Twist ink).

A sprinkling of sequins, because, why not, and my card is ready for
someone special. Probably the DH. He's a keeper!

Love Always

This morning sees a bit more light for photo taking.
Sharing a card for Inspired by All the Little Things.

Rather rustic, with the weathered wood,
and a big red distressed heart.

Just received Concord and 9th's Cozy Up stamps and dies. Ordered said set
after seeing a darling tag by our friend Marybeth Lopez, using the heart stamp,
(see here:Enjoy)

I actually used 2 Concord and 9th sets,
Cozy Up & Love Always
Love Aways has the die that cuts the attached word 'love' from the
window created from the frame.
Cozy Up also has dies, even the sweet 3 circle wood rings I used
for my ombre heart.
PTI Inks: Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy & Scarlet Jewel
Love Aways was stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn,
and selectively white embossed (Love Always).

Popped up the little ringlets with foam tape.

Interlocking Hearts

2 Posts in one day, whoo hoo!
Don't you love that sentiment die?
Just perfect for the Fusion Card Challenge,
where the photo features this beautiful quilt with interlocking hearts.

I cut Text Block: Love from PTI's Sweet Blush
slightly elevated with foam tape
over dp from Vintage Linens (also PTI).

PTI: Vintage Linen stamps and dies

Spending the day tomorrow handing out Valentines to family.
This one might just go hubby.
What an adventure we've had over 47 years! (Next month is
our 47th).

Love Is...

Finishing up some Valentines, and playing along with
the Card Concept, where the inspiration is this lovely confection

Clean and Layered style, with the shaker.

Sending Love to You

Lexi has a new challenge on Nichole's blog at PTI,

Pattern playing and I go back to my quilting days.
Finding and combining the right patterns are like a treasure hunt,
when you're happy with what you choose, it's like the day just brightened!

Valentines is right around the corner, and I knew I wanted to create a few more
cards for some special people.
My bg paper is a scrap I had, the patterns on the 'love card'
are from Post & Parcel, a Make It Market kit
as well as the die cuts that created the envelopes,
and ribbon. Heart die: Cupid's Arrow,  Vintage Linens paper.
'Love' from Wet Paint Cuts 2

When the tiny envelopes are opened, the full sentiment is revealed.
(Enclosed: Heart Stamp Set)

Hope you enjoy your day!

Thank you, Lexi!

Fusion/CAS(E) this Sketch #81

The latest Fusion Challenge gives us this sketch/photo as our inspiration:
Such an elegant themed photo needed all the gold I had in stash.
Loved the sketch and pix so I went with combining both.

It was so much fun gathering all my golds, and following the inspiration.

PTI cardstocks, Star Banner dies, Wonderful Words: Forever, Inside Out: Love,
Beautiful Butterflies
Darice EF
Memory Box: Brea Ornament
My Craft Spot Metallic Sequins

There's a one week window for Fusion's challenge, better hurry if you want to play!
