MIM #138 Inlaid Die Cuts

This week's MIM has us inlaying die cuts.
I have seen many others doing this seamlessly well, and I'm so glad
Betsy Veldman's tutorial showed me how.

The hardest part is deciding which fabulous die to use!
I wanted to stamp onto a die cut like Betsy did, so I chose 'Snow', and cut it 3 times into
my white card stock.
She used the ampersand, a set I'm in love with! Used 2 of the sizes.
Inks: PTI Aqua Mist, Blueberry Sky & (ampersand!) Winter Wisteria.
PTI cardstocks, all matching the inks
Snowflakes from PTI's Snowflake Medley & Winter Cheer.
White embossing powder
Frosted the card a bit with Prisma glitter and done!
Betsy, thank you!

MFW's TT: Enthralled with Fall and MIM's Dimensional Leaf Wreath & JUG #212

This week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab world is this
Awesome photo! Cath sure know how to inspire!
For me, it was the colors! Fire reds, pinks, oranges and yellows!
OK, then there's the leaves, as only God can create!

I started with a soft stone cardstock base, run through the 'Lil Inkers stitching die.
The wreath is PTI's new Rustic Wreath
Leaves: PTI Leaf Prints, misted with various colors from Lindy's Stamp Gang
Ended up misting the wreath a bit as well.
PTI Twine
Metal leaves
Sentiment: PTI First Fruits embossed on vellum, which was run through a woodgrain folder

makes it an easy visit.
Vintage Ornaments, a bit of fussy cutting of the white decorated middle on a Tag Sale #5
(red Poppy cardstock)
Found these crystal baubles at a thrift shop and knew they'd come in handy somewhere!
Garden Sprig die from Poppystamps.

Next is a card, envelope and tag set done for an auction fund raiser.
Used the Nativity Silhouette set.

The wonderful PTI dies make it so easy to do an assembly line set.
The pointsettia is from Year of the Flowers: Pointsettia

10 cards
10 envelopes
10 matching tags

3rd tag is a chalkboard technique on a tag sale die.
 Boutique Borders: Christmas

And last a fun tag with the Starry Banners die.
I've wanted to get at the Two Feet Deep set and this is the perfect chance!
It's a wonderful stamp and die set with sweet results.
Kept it simple without a drop of glitter! Unusual for me.

Lots to see on Nichol's blog,
hop along and enjoy all the wonderful tag creations!

MIM #137 & Merry Monday Music

The super inspiring Melissa leads the way this week on Make It Monday.
She created a dimensional leaf wreath, using vellum and die cuts embossed and
sprinkled with glitter.

PTI's Year of the Flowers: Pointsettia is wreath-like, and allowed me to create the dimensions
that worked for this technique.
PTI Pure Poppy cardstock
The pointsettia is embossed with gold on vellum, and colored with ink refills pure poppy
 and scarlett jewel.
Background Basics: Sheet Music stamped with Memento Black ink.
Sentiment embossed in gold from Think Big Favorites #20.

Also entering this in Merry Monday's challenge #80
Use Music on your card
Thanks to them, my Christmas card stash is growing!

MFW's Color Media Challenge

Sympathy cards are the hardest for me to make.
Unfortunately needed to send this one to our nephew's wife, who lost her father in a plane crash on Friday.
It is devastating to loose a loved one for any reason, but so unexpected, with maybe, so much left unsaid, is a hard tragedy to bear.
Fortunately our dear niece is comforted by a family that loves her and a dear Lord in the comfort business!
Cath's Tuesday Trigger challenge has been: Apache Tears in the Key of Autumn.
Rather fitting the task of the card I had to do.
Here is the inspiration photo
On Cath's website she gives credit to this lovely piece of crochet work
to it's crafter.
My inspiration came from it's title: Apache Tears

I chose a Martha Stewart feather stencil, and Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists to create my one layer card.
PTI Ocean Tides cardstock
PTI Leaf border die, selectively placed on bottom.
Thought they looked a bit like tears.

Oops, time ran out for the TT, will add this to Moxie's Color Media Challenge.

Challenge 3 for Waltzingmouse's Pajama Party: Art Deco B/W & Pop

Welcome to the 3rd challenge at Waltzingmouse's pajama party!
This one's a black/white art deco themed challenge!
Must say I was smitten when I saw this lovely silhouette in their new stamp set!
And it's filled with all sorts of shapes and symbols of the style!
Perfect for my layering heart!
Background is stamped with ink,
The frames and Lady Deco, with black embossing powder.
Frame is popped up with foam.
Just a bit of gold for accent (hope that's allowed).

Waltzingmouse's Victorian Ghost Stories

Boo to ya' all, and welcome to Waltzingmouse's
Victorian Ghost Stories Challenge!

Using the scary branches for the bg, and a fussy cut piece of said bg for my raven to perch on,
I created this card. Very Poeish, (Victorian?), and nice and simple.
Love that scary bush/tree!

if you dare!

Waltzingmouse's Greenish Halloweenish

Waltzingmouse is hosting a pajama party, this time with some of it's
newer stamps. I had fun with their scary branches, and used it for the background of
some of the kids' cards.
Lots of treatment with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, most 'greenish', and PTI's Limeaid card stock.
Ran the vellum strip through the Cuttlebug for more texture.
PTI's Trick or Treat and pumpkin.

PTI's MIM #136 Textured Stamping

and added the sentiment from Autumn Acorns.

Once again, loving to use up some of the stash I've accumulated!

The tape is on the inside,
the word JOY is cut out of the front.
