Easter

The end of March brings the beginning of April, and all things Easter!

Sending out the last of my Easter greetings today, and sharing this one
made with The Greetery's Spring Meadow Background, Bountiful Wreath
and, some blooms from Spring Meadow.
The sweet Easter eggs are from a group of eggs from SSS.
Springs of spring are Tim Holtz Thinlits called Flower Field.
And of course a favorite from Tim Holtz, Mr. Bigz Bunny Die.

I love putting scenes like this together. So therapeutic!

Wishing all of you a blessed spring and Easter!

The Card Concept Happy Easter

It's a new season, and we're welcoming spring with a new challenge at
The Card Concept Challenge!

Complete with color swatches, and with Happy Easter as the theme,
you are challenged to create with your choice of style.

My card is a bunny silhouette, revealing The Greetery's Spring Meadow Background.
The die cut is Mr. Bigz, a Tim Holtz die.
The daisy chain is another die from The Greetery's new March release, from the
Ribbon Maker series.

The beautiful Easter script is called Let's Have a Word: Easter, and is cut 3 times
and glued together. I would call my card 'Layered and Embossed'.
Remember, you can use our styles or create one of your own.

Hoping you get a chance to play along!
Have a great week!

The Flower Challenge #78 Reminder Die Cuts or Stencils

It's reminder time at The Flower Challenge, and I'm working on Easter cards
with my die cut card today.

The Greetery's Botanicuts are my go to dies for any season, and The Lilies have
my heart for Easter! Added a few palm branches and sequins, an
embossed Easter Greeting, and done!

Closeup of the sponge inked lily and leaves.

Play along for 2 more weeks, hope to see you on the blog!

The Card Concept Challenge Signs of Spring or Butterfly Blues

As March rolls along, we're all anxiously awaiting spring. The Card Concept
has a new challenge for you, and you get to choose what to play with,
Signs of Spring or Butterfly Blues.

The inspiration for my Mixed Media card comes from the Butterfly Blues photo,
and the color swatches given.

My C9 die was cut from a panel I did with Magicals. In powder form, you sprinkle
the colors on your paper, in my case watercolor cardstock, and spray with water.
The result is 'magical'. The colors come to vibrant life, and achieved just the look
I wanted.

The die cut is popped up onto a panel sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang.
Sentiment: Simply Stamp Blessings/Beatitudes 1

Pick a favorite style and play along!

Sweet Pea Baby Card

Hello!

Last Friday I placed my order with The Greetery and their release, New Beginnings.
Monday my order was in the mailbox! Bravo, Betsy!

My first card with this new release is a baby card. I'm so happy to see the
addition of cards for babies included in the line. I for one was in need of
some fresh product.

Hello Sweet Pea is going in my stash of baby cards, which has 0 cards
at the moment, and I can't wait to do more with this release!

Nestled in a pea pod, and then in a wreath, the sleeping pea is just the cutest!

All die cuts cut from white cardstock,  and inked.

The Greetery

Sweet Pea die, Baby Face Sentiments, Spring Meadow Background stamp,

Rustic Wreath Stamp and die.

Good Wednesday Morning! Playing along today with the Color Hues Challenge,
where we are challenged with Green and Gold.

I used Altenew's Build a Flower Honeysuckle, and stamped with various greens from
Distress Oxide Inks.

the first layer is gold embossed, then multi-stamped.
Have to say, green was a bit challenging for some reason.
If you'd like to play with Gold and Green, the blog is below.
Happy Hump Day!

The Flower Challenge #78 Die Cuts or Stencils

Hi, and welcome! If you are longing for all things spring,  here's a reminder
that it's coming. I have a card for you to let you know about the Flower
Challenge starting today.

I used both die cuts and stencils on my card. The Greetery's Market Basket is a die
I love and couldn't wait for spring to bring it out!
The blooms are from Always In Bloom, also from The Greetery, and they and the
leaves are. stenciled. I then added pencil to the flowers.

I embossed. the basket, first with pewter and then with aqua, then pewter again.
This gave the patina I was going for.
You have the whole month of March to play along. Just be sure to make your
flowers the stars.
Hope to see you on the Flower Challenge Blog!

The Card Concept: Lucky Charm

Hello, and welcome! The Card Concept has a new challenge starting today,
Lucky Charm

Loads of inspiration and a colors chart to play with too!

My card features the. Eucalyptus die from the Greetery, cut from white card stock
and inked with Distress Oxide.

Loopy bow and Nordic frame also from the Greetery, as is the bird (Robin and Wren).
I'd call my card Layered Shaker (there's sequins behind the vellum window).

You can just barely see those tiny sequins down in. the corner, but they're there!

Come play along, and have fun with. the colors too!

Playing Cards With Friends

Guess what? Today's a playdate with a friend. Yep. We're 'Playing Cards With
Friends' today. My sweet and talented friend, Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone
asked if I'd like to join her and create a card. Delightful!

Michele gave these parameters:
Make a card for a neighbor or friend, and hand deliver it.
Flowers are always welcome, in fact, let's make them die cut flowers.
Include a kind sentiment.

Check, check and check! And if you look closely, I added an embossed background,
something I always swoon over on Michele's beautifully crafted cards.

I have a neighbor I've known a long time. She's extraordinary, talented, beautiful and
caring. I can't wait to let her know how much I appreciate her friendship.

Well, Michele... If you lived near me, you'd get this card, but as it is,
I'm happy to share it with a dear neighbor and friend.

Let's all run over to Michele's blog to see her creation.
Happy Day, everyone!

One last mention before you go, the 17th of this month is:
Pretty fitting that we made a kindness card, isn't it?

Thanks, Michele. I had a wonderful time. Hope we can play together again some time!

💕

And... as promised a card, with patterned paper, same die set, new colors, and a
sentiment for Random Acts of Kindness Day, which is today.
Michele, lets do this again!

The Flower Challenge #77 Reminder: Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies

Hi there. I'm here with a card to remind you... the Flower Challenge asks us to use
our latest stamps or dies.

My latest from Altenew was the Craft-A-Flower Open Peony die set.

Hope you're playing along. Who doesn't have a newer stamp or die, and
needs an excuse to use it? Play along for another 2 weeks.
Enjoy your week!

The Card Concept: Cozy Comfort or Vintage Hearts

Good Wednesday Morning! It's the middle of the month, and time for a new
challenge at the Card Concept.
We have 2 challenge inspiration photos to choose from, and I have a card
for you using the Vintage Hearts photo.

Vintage anything is my choice, and I used the shabby chic hearts, and colors
for my Cozy card.

Before die cutting the heart wreath, I 'distressed' my white cardstock with red paint.
Using a paintbrush, I painted on stripes of red on a diagonal.

An all die cut card, (except embossed sentiment) I did sponge ink my cocoa cups,
and the corners of my background paper.
Style? Layered Mixed Media

Dies from The Greetery: Hearts at Home

You're the Tick to my Tock

One last Valentine with the Greetery's sweet clock.

I did 4 Valentines with the clock die. Each one a bit different in color and face
pattern. I think it was my favorite from the release!

The tag strips made this card quick and easy.

Enjoy your day!

Valentine Trio

It's a happy day when you get the whole day in front of you, with nothing to do but
craft. And a few days ago, that was the day for me.
I finished up my valentines with The Greetery's Hearts At Home Clock die.
Beyond fun! so I made 3 cards, with 3 of the cute little vintage clocks.

The first, a farmhouse style, oh so traditional, and bordered by pussywillows.

I used some old dp,  and found this one with. a tiny bird.

This one, a sweet pink and grey for a granddaughter.

And finally, a bold black/white and red.

All valentines are in the mail, and hopefully in the hands of those I love.
Happy Valentine's Day to you, and yours!
xoxo

Playing along with the Double D Challenge where it's all about 'Hearts'.
