PTI's MIM #195: A la Carte

50 Make It Mondays, this year, with the last challenge to pick
one you might not have tried.
Happily I participated in all 50!
It's been wonderful every Monday as I look forward to joining with Papertrey's
talented designers and bloggers and share in design, execution and comment
with so many!

is the one I chose to do over,
and it was not easy to choose from so many great videos!
I used Feather Finery the first time around as well, but this time mounted my gold
dipped feathers on a Cover Plate, over an inked background (Winter Wisteria & Spring Rain).
Sentiment is from the set, and embossed onto vellum.
All cardstock, PTI.

Happy New Year, my blogging friends!

PTI December 2014 Blog Hop: Silver & Gold

PTI's December Blog Hop Challenge is to use silver & gold together.

Up with the chickens to post this before everyone's up (11 houseguests, folks!)

Totally smitten with the sparkle and shine dies. Cut this one from mirror gold card stock,
over silver shimmer tag with silver/ white striped washi.
Finish with a gold brad, white shimmer star & sentiment.
Had this one ready to go for this month's challenge!
Blog hop is all day, if you can join.

Hope your Christmas was full of joy!

One last pix, if you can stand looking at food this morning.
My daughter made these for our breakfast.

We call them Simit, an Armenian sweet bread, also known as Chorag.
They fairly melt in your mouth!
Grabbing a few with coffee while I post... and it's quiet!

Serendipity Sparkle & Shine Guest Designer

Hi! I'm back as Guest Designer this month at Serendipity Stamps,
with their challenge to 'sparkle and shine' but with a touch of gold.

Jeanne allowed me to pick from their wondrous selection of stamps for the holidays.
This beautiful stag is from Reindeer, and comes in a set with script of the names of
all Santa's reindeer.
Reindeer colored with watercolor pencils, and Wink of Stella in gold.

The Joy script die was cut twice, once with gold glitter paper (behind) and
white shimmer paper.
Join the month long challenge here:

MIM #193

Laura shares her secrets for creating camouflaged die cuts in
this week's MIM at PapertreyInk.
And to think it was so easy!

I have been in awe of her ability to seamlessly blend those inks.
A little elbow grease, she says, and a whole lot of talent!

I used Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Hibiscus Burst & Sweet Blush Inks.
The heart is die cut Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches,
and the bow from Make It Market Tinsel & Tags Sprigs Stamp Set

Our daughter and son-in-law will celebrate an anniversary on Jan. 3rd.
They chose a date and colors (crimson red) very near Christmas,
and the church and reception were still decked with beautiful decor.

17 years ago! (yipes!)
Thank you Laura! You truly are a genius!

Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind!
This is where we get to combine the new stamps with those previously released.
Last month Happy Holidays had this stamp, with the string of lights.

I decorated a glassine bag with the stamp from Happy Holidays,
and an embossed die cut and sentiment from Snow Time.
Made a background wallpaper from the present as well.
Those are Paper Sweeties sequins in Green Apple on the velvet trim.

The sewn on decorated bag holds a gift card from Starbucks.
Be sure to see the rest of the designers' creations.

Waltzingmouse December Pajama Party: Bedtime Story

Our Bedtime Story Challenge is this sketch

Just under the wire, using Waltzingmouse's snowflake dies
and sentiment from Flurries.

Large snowflake is a negative die cut.

Waltzingmouse December Pajama Party

Challenge 2 was to do an ornament

Folk Art Snowflake cut three times, becomes dimensional when glued together.
I hung a large pearl on the bottom for weight.

Hard to see, the paper is glittered.
Gotta rush this one in!

Waltzingmouse December PJ Party

It's Pajama Time at Waltzingmouse!

Quick post of 3 tags using Country Labels 4.
Challenge 3: Old Pajamas

Same stamps, just different ep and dp for each

Would love to do another challenge, let's see if I can squeeze one out!

Paper Sweeties December Release Party!

It's Party time at Paper Sweeties!
Today is the day you get to buy the sweet holiday stamps you've seen!
Snow Time has adorable images of a snow globe and snowman.

This tag adorns a hostess gift for a cookie exchange party next week.
The sweet candy cane on top is also available at Paper Sweeties!

The bag tag inspired this set of tags, so easy to make with the coordinating dies!
Top of the tag is the snowflake die!

Love that little flurry stamp Debbie designed! Reminds me of Olaf in the movie 'Frozen'.
Enjoy shopping, and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Rewind.

Paper Sweeties December Release Countdown!

It's countdown time at Paper Sweeties!
Tomorrow's the day you can purchase these new stamps and dies.

Today I'm featuring a new set called Deck the Halls.
Bird, santa hat, birdhouse, snowflake die, and holly, all from this new set.
And all have matching dies!
Perfect for coloring and popping up!
I used the tree die from another new set, Snow Time, which will also be available tomorrow.
Just punched a hole in the top and created a tag!
Lots of Stickles on this one, makes for a festive card, don't you think?

Check out the rest of the teamies here:

Paper Sweeties December Release Sneak Peeks!

Holiday Greetings everyone!
Hope it's a good one and all your shopping's done and wrapped!
(Yeah, right!)
Welcome to Paper Sweeties December Release Sneak Peek of
2 adorable stamps sets and 2 die sets to match!
This month Debbie has the cutest sets yet...
Here's a peek,

Snowglobe, and tree and presents and the cutest snowman yet!
Just had to make a shaker card.
It's so easy with all the dies.

PS Green Apple bakers twine.
Designer paper (sorry cut away who makes it!)
Christmas Love sentiment on the bottom of the DP. (Don't you love that?)
Check out all the peeks here:

MIM #192: Tab Closure Tri-fold Card

The busiest time of year just got busier with a call from Betsy to
make a tri-fold card with a tab closure.
I don't think I've missed a MIM in 3 years, and wasn't about to
miss this one!
Used card stock and stamps & dies from Tinsel & Tags,
and die cut 2 flaps from Cover Plate: Floral.
Created a shaker from Betsy's die (cut off the top flap), and already printed tag (oh so cute!),
and a double trim from Shaker Die: Circle,
in Pure Poppy & Berry Sorbet cardstock.

The card is almost square, 4 x 4 1/4", and pretty flat, so it will mail with one stamp. (Yay!)

Inside sentiment from: Instant Photo: Holidays

Betsy intended this die to be a tag with ribbon threaded through the holes.
But it's a tab on this card, and I strengthened it by doubling the die cut.
The envelope is decorated too, so easy with the sweet coordinating stamps.
I'm late with this post, but you still have a few days to play along.

Hope your holidays are full of JOY!

MIM #191: Glittered Frames

Make It Monday with Dawn.
This week we learned to glitter our frames.

Perfect time of year to glitter everything (including the craft room!)

Added 2 sided tape to the edges of Cover Plate Peony die cut.
Distressed gold glitter (a bit chunkier than usual)
Banner is a Photo Finishers vellum die cut with washi in the middle.
Sentient from Bells & Boughs
Holly and berries from Tinsel & Tags Additions.
Might say, I first ran my card stock through the machine to impress the image,
then inked where the images were.
Rather like the freeform inking.

Serendipity December Blog Hop: Sparkle & Shine

Hi there and welcome!
I am thrilled to be guest designing for Serendipity Stamps
for the month of December!

When you get an email from Jeanne Jackna, you spend the rest of the day
grinning! And then she says, "pick any stamps you need".
This sweet Sledding Snowman, is close to how I feel!

Our challenge from Mary was Sparkle & Shine with 'Snow'.
Perfectly timed for this season!

Sledding Snowman is fussy cut and copic colored. Snowflakes embossed from Snowflake Set.
The large and small snowflakes are also cut and given some 'snow' embossing.
Joy Die cut twice from shimmer paper and 'snowed' with more ep.

His scarf and hat brim are also popped up and I used some silver Wink of Stella to
accent.

Can't wait to see what all the talented designers at Serendipity have come up with!

Also some more important news, Serendipity is having a sale!
40% off your highest priced item when you enter "40fromhigh1214".
It's good through 12-10, so hurry!

Just have to throw a big hug to Queen Jeanne for the guest designership!
And we'll all be back the 17th for more fun ideas with Sparkle & Shine!
