Paper Sweeties October 2015 Inspiration Challenge

October 1st marks the start of a new challenge at Paper Sweeties!
Just look at our inspiration...

Fall, Vintage, lace, pumpkin, what inspires you?
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I did a card with one of Paper Sweeties' dolls, Sophie.

Lots of PS stamp sets, and some paper piecing, and some lace on her poncho.
Just had to add some PS sequins, to look like leaves falling to the ground.
One more little item before I let you go, the pumpkins from Sweeties Wagon are not
finished on the bottom, so I 'finished' them after stamping, with a black marker,
then fussy cut them.

Happy Fall Ya'll!
Don't forget to visit each designer for more inspiration,
and a big welcome and congratulations to out Guest Designer this month,

Boo!

This week's MIM has Ashley showing us how to make
boxes out of dies.
Wonderful sweet treats and decorations for the upcoming holidays!

Ashley's shaker used the candy corn die,
mine is with the Shaker Shapes: Pumpkin
The spine on the box was scored several times so it would rock slightly,
allowing the contents to shake up a bit.

Easy to do, hope to make several for the grandkids!

All PTI: Mr. Bones, Happy Spooky Halloween, Shaker Shapes: Pumpkin
Cardstocks: Rustic White, Orange Zest, Orange Zest Designer Pack,
Classic Kraft, Royal Velvet, Limeaid Ice, Summer Sunrise,
Lemon Tart, True Black
Inks: True Black, Summer Sunrise
White Embossing Powder

which I liked.

TYI Challenge #31

My friend Jeanne is inspiring us at the Tag You're It Challenge
with this drop dead gorgeous autumn goodness...

Jeanne is one of those designers whose generosity match her never
ending talents.
Love what she does and love who she is!

Wanted to post my tag with the rest of the designers,
but life got in the way, and didn't have time.
So I'm posting in the links, don't worry, I won't win
the fabulous die Serendipity is offering the winner!

Autumn Blessings

So excited to be playing along with the Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop!

Paper Sweeties is one of the sponsors,
and the prizes are amazing!

Hop on over to see the list of sponsors and all
that's up for the win!

My card is made with the stamp and die set PS is giving away to one of the winners,
Homemade With Love. It's a Christmas set, complete with dies to match.
I changed up the look by cutting off the holly, and adding pumpkins
and sunflower, and using fall colors.
Very easy to use any time of year!

Hope to see you in the lineup.
It runs through Oct. 2nd.

PapertreyInk September 2015 Blog Hop

September 25th is blog hop time at PTI,
and this month Nichole gave us this inspiration:

Autumn holds promise of holidays, family and
hopefully cool weather!

Because I send out Halloween and Thanksgiving cards,
Nichole's timely inspiration gave me the chance to do 4 cards celebrating fall.
Hope you like them!

All stamps: PTI

Do you recognize the sets I used?
Trying to keep a one layer for easy mailing.

Got a couple of birthdays in October.

The chalkboard technique has endless possibilities & is so much fun to
combine sets, and sentiments.

The only one with enamel dots, might have to deliver this in person.

and the 4th card with the chalkboard technique,

for a dear friend,

All the different technique touches learned by watching Betsy's MIM video, below:

Happy hopping,
can't wait to see all the beautiful card art!

It's Your Day

Love Mondays when Danielle shares...
This week it's Two-Toned Stamped Sentiments.
Just so simply stunning a technique, she uses a cover plate, white embossing,
and stamps beneath with the card stock color.

Our oldest son lives at the beach, and I wanted to keep with a 'watery' theme
for his card.
Cover Plate: Waves
Ahoy Stamp and die sets

A 'Pop' of Autumn

Curtain Call Challenge has some fun
inspiration up this week.

Looking through my stamps, I don't think I have
anything 'popcorn', so I went with
a PTI stamp set that reminded me of trees
that change with the season, and kept with
the colors in the photo.
For the kraft bags, I used kraft card stock, and stamped with a tree from Autumn Hills
to make a wallpaper bg.
The Bookmark tag (also PTI) was stamped with
PTI's Plaid Builder, similar to the colors of the plaid bow around the
popcorn bowl.

Hard to see, but the hills picture frame was masked before adding the stripes.
Colored with watercolor pencils, and shaded around the frame with grey.

And for the silver scoop, the vellum embossed leaves (Branching Out).
Just a few little touches of green, the hills and the stitched leaf behind the
fussy cut pumpkins.
