WM PJ Party & MFW TT

I've been playing along with Waltzingmouse's Pajama Party.
The last of their challenges is 'Bedtime Story', and it is a sketch challenge.
I placed an order with them and chose some adorable themed stamps, among them, 'Cottage Home'. Love at first inking!
Stamped the smaller home a bunch on different card stocks, embossed in white, fussy cut and pieced until I got what I liked.
Reminds me of the 'Painted Ladies' built on the steep hills of San Francisco.
Quite a sight to see, with their gingerbread trims and colorful fronts!
I'm also entering this in Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger:

PTI MIM #127

Dawn McVey helps us create our own background paper this week.
Not only one stamping but doubled up!
She carefully advises to achieve the best results, as this can be overpowering if you get carried away
(as I've tried this before and found results a bit busy)
Had to do more tags for All Things Tinsel so went to work.
1st tag
Pale and sweet, just like the bridal jewelry they are packaged with.
The first stamp is a Stampington Ledger Flourish wood mounted that was centered and stamped with Sweet Blush.
Then with Smokey Shadow, a Boutique Borders frame, positioned over the first stamp.
Thanks is copper embossed and is from Mini Blooms. Also stamped a little 'so much' beneath it.
This is where things got crazy.
Working on 2 projects at once, and dealing with an uncontained mind, I felt the sweet blush was too pale. So I reached for the re-inker to well, re-ink the pad. Only it wasn't sweet blush, it was Hibiscus Burst! Oops! I needed to do about 20 tags so I continued with what I call, Sweet Burst!
I think I like it better!
Also changed things up by adding die cut flowers from Bigger Blooms.
Too much? I thought it would be, to reproduce 20 times, so I simplified.
Same layout, same colors (with the oops ink pad!), a few sequins,  and 20 tags later:
Just in case you're not bored silly with this post, this is a comparison of the pale and brightened up tags.
Needless to mention, a Sweet Blush inkpad will be in my next PTI order!

Waltzingmouse PJ Party Post 2

Back again for post 2
This time it's a Background Challenge
Big Berry Cherries - Waltzingmouse.
PTI cardstock and paperpack
PTI Limitless Layers lg. Circle dies
PTI inks: aquamist and ocean tides,  soft shadow
Zing embossing powders

Ever see a Pluot? It's a cross between a plum and an apricot.
My dear friend, Mikel just brought these over from her tree.
Had to explain why I was still in my pjs!

This is what they look like on the inside
And yes, they taste as sweet as they look!
Wish you could all enjoy them with me.
Here's the Waltzingmouse link:
A few hours to play, and then I must get dressed!

Waltzingmouse PJ Party

1st time ever, Pajama Party, hosted by Waltzingmouse Stamps.
Thank You, Marybeth for the invitation to a pajama party, in Ireland!
Couldn't stay away, short flight, really, thanks to blogland!
The theme for Challenge 1 is 'Tickle Me Silly'.
Just ordered and received their Fine Feathers stamp set, and could not wait to ink it up!
To jog the inspiration side of the brain, found a photo on Pinterest of Indian Feathers.
This is my take, on a PTI woodgrained embossed tag.
White embossed feathers, and 'beads', Waltzingmouse.
The bead is from 'Funky Feathers', the smaller feather set.
Stamped off on the background, PTI's Canyon Clay ink.
It's 8:00am on the west coast of the US, and yes, all, still in my pjs
A few hrs left to join the fun, find the link here:

MFW's Trendy Triangles Challenge

Moxie Fab World is hosting a Trendy Triangles Challenge
Anything trendy is like waving a red flag in front of me, so had to give it a go!
Cath gave us so many inspiration photos, among them, this quilt:
I love handmade quilts! All kinds, all colors, vintage, new, holiday, well, any and all!
Red and white... adore!
This photo from Pinterest is from a quilt shop in Temecula, CA.
Inspiration on steroids!
My 'Quilted Triangle' Card
Yes, those are each cut triangles, assembled to form a quilt-like front.
Red floral washi, red dotty PTI Pure Poppy paperback.
PTI Square Prints die perfectly cut 6, 1" squares, which were then cut into triangles.
White outside strips run through PTI's Vineyard embossing folder.
PTI's Parisian Lace Doily die cut from vellum.
I've been in love with this look lately. Vellum allows a peek underneath.
Sentiment: PTI Boutique Borders: Thanks
Memory Box Die Frame, Center is also Vineyard embossed.
Closeup of sentiment shows a bit more detail of the buildup.
Red velvet ribbon and buttons finish.
Trendy Triangles runs until Aug. 19th. Plenty of time to join in the fun!
Also submitting this in Simon Says Triangle Challenge
Did I mention triangles are trendy?

MFW TT A Painterly Palette

Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger showcases
APainterly Palette

Oh these wonderful colors! Surely inspiring.
I saw a bit more that triggered my card: circles, bright, clear images, and
the word, 'happy'.
What says 'happy' to me is a shaker card. Created mine on a PTI tag, with a die cut circle.
The flower circles were the punch outs from PTI's Clockface die.
The opening is filled with multi-colored sequins. (Avery Elle)
Background aqua stripe from Pebbles, Lakeside 6x6 paper pack
All other cardstocks PTI.
Had to show a closeup of the sentiment from PTI's Heart-2-Heart#12.
As I've said before, sometimes the stamping angels are with you, and the embossing is just right!
Not one speck flew out of place! Just had to grin!
Have a wonderful weekend and if you'd like to play, check it out here:

All PTI cardstocks and inks with the exception of center  panel: Chilled Cucumber Soup from Jillibean Soup.

4th Color Challenge
Not my favorite of the group (Happens sometimes), until I visited Marybeth's blog (marybethstimeforpaper.blogspot.com) saw a delightful campfire card with a single sequin on a campfire. "Aha", says I, "that's what the card needs!"
Only had white, so colored the sequins with copics, and 'threw' them in the jar of lemonade.
Crafted a lemon on the ticket tag.

Online Card Class Week 3 Day 2

Vintage Bride
Finally able to post a card for the Online Card Class.
And it's Week 3!
Colors to use: 2 purples and 2 browns with a touch of aqua.
I instantly thought "vintage".
Also presented was the challenge to use embossed die cuts.
Vintage Bride is surrounded by a Memory Box die frame. It's been embossed first with Pirate gold and then a fun mix I bring out for Christmas.
PTI Cardstocks, vintage lace, Spellbinder oval, paper flowers, Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
Hard to see but sweet bride is carrying a lilac bouquet. The card is sprinkled with fairy dust, lilac of course!

MIM #126

Betsy Veldman shows us how to create 3D with our die cuts on Papertrey's MIM this week.
A bit of background to this card...
Grandson #3 is a baseball player. He also loves it when grandma singles him out for a special card.
PTI's 7th Inning Stretch was purchased for him!
It was also perfect for this week's challenge.
All the pieces to create a 3D effect came together perfectly with PTI's 'hello' die.
He even wears a similar blue cap!
So much fun to do!

I know many have said it before, but Betsy's a genius!
She makes it all so clear to learn how.
Plenty of time to join the fun!
Must run to the mailbox, can't wait to get the thank you phone call from Garrett!

MFW TT A Little Romance

Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab challenges with this soft
and sheer confection
For the past week I've been busy with 3 granddaughters under the age of 9.
Lovely and lively, they kept me hopping!
Getting back to creating feels so good!
Inspiration? Lace, pearls, sheer delicate femininity.
And a sweet folded doily in the shape of a gown I saw on Pinterest.
I used vellum instead, with embossed images from PTI's Delightful
Doilies.
Bluegreen vellum 'underskirts' the dress to give a bluish tint.
Seam binding and button from stash.
Wooden sentiment from Kaisercraft.
Heidi Swapp stencil, Mr Huey's 'Shine' Color Mist.
PTI Cardstock: Fine Linen, Ocean Tides, and Rustic White.
Doily Border die from Papertrey
Inspired to play?
