Emma's been baking all day, and invites you to tea.
Table and tea set from 'I'm Having a Tea Party',
sentiment and clothing from 'It's Tea Time'.

2nd card was done with die cuts from the March release.
Spring bouquet formed with Sweet cuts Hippity Hoppity.
Did you know the Paper Sweeties boutique has paper straws?
Love them for added detailing, like these bud vases for the blooms.

Sequins and twine are also now in the shop!

guest designer, Larissa Heskett!

Fusion #7

Fusion #7's inspiration: to choose the photo, the sketch, or fuse both.

I love playing with this challenge, and I love to fuse the 2 inspirations.
One of my first stamps was this large woodblock from Stampington
called 'Papillion'.

I've been playing with making my own bg papers, this wood one from a tutorial Melissa Phillips
did last week on Make It Monday.
It's a 3-D paint that has iridescence, so that set the stage for my dress form.
PTI cardstocks,
Oval: Lil Inkers
Copics
Sentiment 'Easter' from Cheery Lynn.
Dyed burlap strip
Wink of Stella

The spotted background paper is the byproduct of a PTI notebook page die cut.

A P.S. to this post, is a photo of the card with some purple dyed twine.
I removed it because it seemed just too much.
Ever do that?
I seem to love possibilities, until I do them, and then think, 'it's over done'.
It's a learning process, after all!

The Card Concept #6 Birthday

Create a Birthday Card is the challenge at The Card Concept #6

My card uses PTI's Cover Plate: Deco die cut in melon Berry.

Inspiration? The gorgeous frosting covered white cake embellished with blooms!
Looking at the photo you can almost taste that frosting!

I created my own cake by rounding the top corners on 2 white card stock strips and running them through the cuddle bug.

Limeaid Ice Fanciful Flourish: Cheery Lynn Designs
PTI: Button Stacks
Sentiment from PTI's Hands of Time

'Freestyle Collage' (?) or maybe 'Classy Elegant'.

PTI Mar. Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop Time!

PTI's theme is GLOSS!

I waited until this morning to photo shoot my 2 cards, great time to
capture the 'high glossy' surface.

1st is a BD card, using Text Block Birthday and Fabulous Frames dies.

The candle is a straw (Paper Sweeties) with the flame from Polka Dot Parade #12 and glossy accents.
Glittered sentiment from Wonderful Words: Birthday

2nd card

Stamped first, then clear embossed.
Bold Bouquet stamp set.

Papertrey cardstocks and inks

MIM #157 & March Blog Hop

MIM at Papertrey features creating our own cover plates from dies.
Betsy Veldman (who wears a crown of clever creative genius),
showed us how, and carefully gave great examples here:

It doesn't often happen, but I instantly knew which dies I wanted to use.
Be Happy stamps and dies were sitting on my  craft table,
and couldn't wait to use the scallop and stripe strips.
Sentiment from Bold Bouquet.
Hibiscus Burst and Limeaid Ice Inks
PTI felt and card stocks
Black sequins

Lots of foam tape to prop up the elements and
glossed the frame (I bet you know why!) for added dimension.

Betsy, I always smile when you're on board.
It's for sure you're generous genius is is going to rub off on us!

Edited to play along with PTI's Mar. Blog Hop: GLOSS!

MIM #156 2nd Post

2nd post for Melissa's lesson on adding 3-D paint to our creations.
I did a dozen samples of every PTI embossing plate, this one came from
Vineyard.
Purple on blue sheen card stock.

I created the basket by stamping and fussy cutting the basket from Basket of Blessings.
Just made my own handle.
Eggs and chick from Hippity Hoppity.
Banner of buttons from Button Stacks.
Happy from Wonderful Words.
Easter die from Cheery Lynn.
PTI card stocks and ribbon
The white corrugated card stock is an embossing folder from Darice.

Anything that adds depth and texture to layers is close to my heart.
Love this Melissa, thank you!

MIM #156

I love Make It Mondays!
Great instructors,
fabulous fun techniques
and something new to learn every week!
This week Melissa introduced me to a 3-D paint I never heard of
let alone tried!
And this country girl has no close stamp stores so had to order it.
Yes, it came, yes it was messy (she warned us!), and yes it was everything she said it would be.
This run through the embosser was done with white, copper and violet.

I used the woodgrain impression plate as Melissa did,
actually the top notebook page die is impressed with paint too,
one I didn't like, until die cut, then decided it was fun.
Used the new Leave It Be stamps and dies.
All Papertrey card stock and inks.

Runway Inspired Challenge #56

This week's Runway Inspired Challenge  is VERY Challenging.
I've never played before, but something about this Fall inspired challenge in the beginning
of spring was,
 well, so challenging!
Dark and misty, with a kaleidoscope of colors on the skirt spoke to me.

I chose Waltzingmouse's Folk Medallion set, and some
 iridescent embossing powders, and
played.

Misted my PTI card stock, the inked the center of the medallion in yellows and golds,
before adding the parts of the medallion in the skirt colors.
Copic colored some of the open work.
A bit of stitching, twine, jewels and a pewter leaf charm finished.

Fusion Card Challenge #6

The Fusion Card Challenge is one I love playing.
We can choose the sketch or the photo for inspiration.
Or a combo of both.

Went with a mix this week, trying to keep a monochromatic look with the sketch.

PTI Spring Hills stamp set, sentiment from Happy Trails
PTI Limitless Layers: Squares
PTI cardstocks
Memento Dye Inks: Greenhouse collection
Copic colored pearls

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh

I'm excited to be playing in the Curtain Call Challenge,
where the Inspiration is: Farm Fresh

Started with the honey as my inspiration, and then morphed into seeing the crate,
the colors, well, you know how that goes sometimes!

The result is a 'farm fresh' card I'll probably use as a notecard.

Farm fresh sentiment from Clear Art Stamps: Farm Chicks.
stamped fussy cut and matted in Stone grey.
All cardstock: PTI
Cherries, oven mit and lilac gingham: Farm House

Can't wait to see what everyone else does with this challenge,
I'm a hopeless romantic for anything 'farmie'!

Paper Sweeties March Release Rewind!

Have you all enjoyed the new goodies at Paper Sweeties?

It's time to rewind and check out the last of my posts for this month.
I've used something from each new release in this card.

Bunny Hugs and Kisses stamp set has this adorable bunny outfit!

I hand cut the outfit, used Abigail's face, and flocked the ears and chest.
The darling eggs are also a part of this set, as well as the basket.
The eggs are first die cut from Sweet Cuts: Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes,
as well as the flowers from from Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes,
the sentiment is from Wagon Add-on: Bloom and Grow
There's a little bouquet of sequins (love those!) on the sentiment doily.
I sprayed and glittered the card when it was done,
kinda makes it eggstra special! (couldn't resist!)

Paper Sweeties March Release Party

Today's the day! Paper Sweeties' March Release Party!
Can you feel the excitement?
Let me introduce one of the stamp sets, Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.
I chose this set to show you because there is a full set of matching dies too!

I love this sweet little lamb!
He's die cut, flocked with Stampendous Fuzzy Fun Flock and copic colored.
I used a die cut flower (also in the set) for the hole on the tag.

I made (yes made!) this cute little basket for my tag, and adorned it all around with more
flowers and leaves. Paper Sweeties is now carrying sequins in all colors.
You have to see to believe how cute these little sequin flowers are!

Here's the link instructions on making this super simple basket:

http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/4994893/post264964028
It's not in English (Russian I think), But great photos, easy to follow.
I made my basket bigger by adding an extra strip, and making my paper strips 10" long.
The band is 11".

I think this would be adorable for candy,
but also as a presentation for a shower gift.
Can you just picture it with baby socks or onesies?

and there's a stamp for it in tomorrow's release!
The cute little sign is from a new set called: Wagon Add-on Bloom and Grow.
You'll note the baker's twine in pink and white, Debbie is offering twine in

MIM #155

Danielle shows us how to make and use confetti for our projects.
What's more fun than confetti?

Needed to replenish  my birthday stash, especially for the men in the family,
(the hardest to make for),
so used Tipped Top, and Birthday Style.
Chose 3 main colors: Hawaiian Shores, Limeaid Ice and Winter Wisteria.
When it was finished, I thought too plain so threw in Summer Sunrise stars.

Used one of the background 'experiments' I've been having fun with.
The 'square' confetti is from the Berry Basket die.
Tipped Top Happy is inset.
There's still time to play!
Come join the fun here:
