12 Kits of Occasions April '16

It's the last day of the month, and that means time for
12 Kits of Occasions.

'Crazy for Coffee' is our theme this month,
and the lovely Tracey McNeely (In My Creative Opinion) provided us with
all the goodies above.
Honestly, I LOVE beginning my day with java,
and love sharing a cup with my favorite people!
So let's get right to it!

I just ordered some watercolor pencils from Prima, and used them
along with inks for my projects.

Donuts and coffee? Yes, please!

Tracey sent us this tag wrapped with twine.
I just loved this little guy with the die cut open arms.
Inserted the heart, included in our goodies, and added the 'expresso thanks',
also in our package.

Another of the cute coffee die cuts together with a fun sentiment!

Tracey's papers were double sided, and I loved this one with the car's
dashboard approaching "E".
Couldn't resist arranging the sequins as coffee spilling out.

And last is this coffee bag I gave a die window, filled with beans
and added some more coffee dies.
Loved all the sentiments Tracey gave us, but this was my fav!

Our guest is Amy Tsuruta, drop by and give her some love.
Can't wait to visit all the designers of 12 Kits,
and see what they've done with all their coffee goodies!

Hope you all have a great spring weekend!

Hello

Happy Friday!
It's time for a new challenge at Tag You're It!
And we have this adorable tag from Susan.

Somehow my stamp stash is lacking gnomes, something I will
remedy immediately!
Meanwhile, I chose to focus on the potted plant in gnomey's hands.

I used a stencil from PTI, and colored my paste with reinker.
The hanging plant and 'hello' sentiment is also PTI:Super Succulents
Hope you are inspired to play along.
Be sure to visit the TYI blog to see what the other designers have done.
Do you have a gnome stamp? Even if you don't,
can't wait to see what you come up with...

PapertreyInk April '16 Blog Hop

It's time for PTI's April Blog Hop!
And just look at Nichole's inspiration

WOW! Right?
I wanted to showcase the translucent quality of the warm, vibrant colors,
so I went with one of their new sets: Super Succulents.

Stamped and misted each multi colored succulent, with PTI inks.
Sentiment gold embossed.
Play along all day. You're sure to find endless inspiration!

80 Years Young

Inspired by All the Little Things gives us this pink confection
to work with this week:

What didn't inspire me!
The blush pink, with white and silver,
bling crown, and tulle.
Not to memtion, plenty of femme!

A friend's mother in law is turning 80,
and asked if I would do her a special card.
Thrilled and honored, I came up with this,
to play along with the challenge at IBATLT.

Finished the inside with a pink frosted cake and the 'happy' script
from the stamp set.

It's the pink version of the last card made for my SIL (Aqua).
Included in the stamp set is a strawberry topping. Can't wait
to add that to the next card!

PTI: Just Desserts, Big Birthday Candles & Cake Plate Dies,
Cover Plate: Pretty Frame
Glittered tulle from Michaels
Rhinestones: stash
PTI: Inks
Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver Ink.

Happy 40th, David!

40th birthday of a SIL, prompted my card for MIM this week,
hosted by Amy.
She shows us 'Faux Brush Lettering'.

Amy stamped a large scripted sentiment, but I chose a smaller
(Fancy Pants
to go with my birthday themed card, trying hard to keep along the lines of the happy birthday script, and went outside the lines with
the swirly yellow border.
Finally got to ink up Just Desserts, and die cut Big Birthday Candles.
Tried to keep it masculine with some stars (Paper Clippings: Congrats),
and side stripes (Plaid Builder).
Sunrise Impression Plate
Inks: PTI Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Berry Sorbet.
Cardstock: Stampers Sellect, Aqua Mist & Shimmer Cardstock.

Amy's beautiful example card and video can be seen on Nichole's blog,

Playing along with ColourQ's latest challenge.

Isn't this the sweetest?
Needed a baby card for a friend, expecting her 1st!
So happy for her, just found out it is a boy,
so my crib mobile is on the 'blue' side.

A Set of Tags

Create Along With Us, this week at PTI,
where we get to CASE the fabulous designers!

This is KayMiller's card and tag set featuring a new release,
Color Pop Butterflies, by Betsy Veldman.
Those tags caught my eye!
Using pattern paper and coordinating stamps and dies,
Kay's tags are a quick and easy way to have tags handy
to pop onto a gift or card.

Honestly, once I got started, it was hard to stop!

I settled on Dawn's Vintage Linen's set, with the matching stamps and dies,
but PTI has many you can choose.

6 came together rather quickly!

The beautiful book of pattern papers give you a list of inks that match.

On a few of them, I doubled the bloom.

Just place the die to hi light the image you want to show,
stamp a sentiment, and pop on the bloom & leaves.

My favorite is the last tag, stamped with the line and full inked Pure Poppy.
Love anything red & white!

The hardest part is choosing what precious papers to part with! LOL!
(At least Vintage Linens can be reordered)

Farm Fresh

Playing along with Make My Monday Challenge Blog,
where our inspiration is 'Pets'.
We have lived on a couple of acres in California'a Central Valley
(Clovis), for 25 years. This is our first year sharing space with a dozen
chickens. Pullets, they're called. They joined us before Easter.
'Us', includes me, hubby, son, son's wife, son & wife's 2 boys, 4 & 1 1/2,
3 cats, 2 ducks, 35 koi, and 5 rabbits.

Meet Joan and Jet

The chickens, ducks and rabbits live happily together in a coop,
and have imprinted me as their mother!

All to explain why I chose my chickens as the pet to showcase on my card
for the challenge.

Authentique: Homestead
Watercolor cardstock, Zig Clean Colors
PTI: Lemon Zest, True Black Cardstocks
PTI: Canyon Clay, Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise,
Spring Moss, Limeaid Ice Inks

Here are some recent pix of the new family, growing fast, btw!

Sally was kind enough to pose.

Joan and Jet enjoy foot racing with Henrietta.

This is Ginger, she's momma bunny

Polly, playing with a pal

Polly wants to know if I brought a treat.

Hopefully all 12 chickens are truly egg laying pullets (female).
If not, and there's a few roosters (20% chance), we'll all be early risers soon!
