Christmas Blessings!

Merry Christmas!
Hope you enjoy every minute, and despite some disappointments, setbacks and all
that's in sight, or behind, remember our Lord and Savior, born and died for YOU!
Blessings for a Happy New Year!
These are some of the Christmas cards I did this year. Being sheltered at home
allowed me to create, and that's never a bad thing, right?

Scroll and enjoy some of my favorites!

My deepest thanks to all the stamp companies for their contribution to an ever
growing stash! You've brought a joy into my life like no other. The joy of friendship,
creativity, wonder at the talent around me, and all those challenge blogs too!
I'm so grateful for all of you!

Merry Christmas dear friends!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Merry Christmas! Hope you're well, and enjoying happy crafting time, as we all wait
for our inoculation. Honesty don't know if I'm going to get it this year, we'll see how
it all goes down. Meanwhile, my family is on their way. We've all quarantined for a
couple of weeks, and are looking forward to the holiday, with all it's joys!

I'm posting a card made with the Greetery's new stamps and dies. Simply Wonderful
is a favorite, and I've paired it with Bigger Blooms. Several of the designers used these
2 sets together, and I loved Kay Miller's blossoms that cascaded above the sentiment
with some of the blossoms off the card.

The word wonderful is embossed onto teal cardstock.

More cards to come. All Christmas cards have found their home and the craft cave is
currently devoted to gift wrapping.

Stay well, dear friends!

A Favorite Tree

For the last post of 2020, the Card Concept Challenge asks us for a picture of our
favorite tree/decoration and or card from the past year.
Each year I post a tree in our home, but this year I decided to show one of
my favorite decorations on display.

This Christmas tree, along with Father Christmas is handmade, created by me,
over a dozen years ago.

It's over 3' tall, and rests on our piano at Christmastime.

Each and every mini piece was selected or created for Santa's scene.

Even the tiny presents were beribboned and sprayed just for this piece.

The story of this particular Kris Kringle (I made dozens!) is dear to me, and I
just couldn't part with him. Many others went to homes  and shops all over the country,

Decorating my home at Christmastime is a way to bring joy to my family as we
gather together to celebrate our Lord's birth. I cherish the memories spent
together with bright and colorful pieces collected over a lifetime.
What about you, do you have favorites for holidays?
Tradition and celebration with purpose is the greatest part of life, especially
with those you love!

And May the New Year be blessed for you!

Be Merry

Another card for the 'Dear Veteran' project through our church.

What's not to bring a smile looking at this noble deer?

Tim Holtz deer head, the Greetery wood slice and postage die, Poppystamps mistletoe
and Be Merry, Memory Box plaid paper.

Hope your week is well and crafty! (The best kind!)

Fa La La...

Christmas Greetings dear friends!
Just when I thought all was done and mailed, our women's pastor at church
sent out a call for cards for vets. Veterans have done so much for us and some
are in homes or hospitals, and need a little cheering. So happy cards it is...

This was an easy card to do, assembly line style, and one card quickly became 20.

The festive papers are Poppystamps, die cut with the Greetery's Postage die.

I don't know where I was last year when these gnomes from SSS came on the
scene, but I saw tags Marcia Hill made for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and
ordered them. Fa la la is from Memory Box. And all the snowflakes are are from
the Greetery's Snowflake Sworie.

These fun cards took no time to do, and I loved pairing the gnomes cap with
 a colorful bottom!
I'm so thankful for the hard work of Denise Baronian, our women's pastor.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve!

Welcome Christmas

Good Monday Morning to you! I'm up on the Poppystamps blog today with this
card made with non traditional dies. Nothing says winter like snowflake sequins!

These sweet beauties are from Pretty Pink Posh, and are irridescent.
Check out the Poppystamp blog to see what I used to create this shaker.

Hope you're enjoying the blessings of the most wonderful time of year.
I know... for some or even most it's a rough one. But we put our hope
in the One who will see us through it all!

Blessings of peace my friends!

Last and final 25 Days of Christmas Tags post

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 has been full of tag inspiration from start to finish.
Tracey McNeely does a wonderful job of joining stamp companies and card/tag
makers, and allowing all of us to have a grand time while enjoying the fun!
I determined to post all 25 days, and did, even created these cuties for the bonus day.
So here goes... Kim Higgins has one more prize for all of us steadfast tag makers,

...this beautiful handmade bag!

Hope all is well on your end, celebrating the season of joy with all those
I love, with mask and plenty of hand sanitizer!

Inspired By: Melted Snowman

These Inspired By Card Challenge has the most intriguing challenge this week...
take a look

I had to play along, especially with friends on the design team who came up
with the most clever interpretations!

The colors, of course inspired my card, but a melting snowman? I had nothing.
So, instead I used just the head of a new favorite, a Tim Holtz Thinlets die set,
Cool Yule. He looks rather perplexed at having a monocled eye and only a head,
and I love his sassy wide eyed stare!

Inspired By gives us this sketch to use, which I did use, loosely (perfectly admissible!),

the Greetery's Snowflake Soiree set comes with a series of stencils, giving you the
option to change colors with your snowflakes. I didn't really change my colors as
much as use a lighter touch with the B stencil. Betsy even included a stencil that lets you
shade or color below the snowflakes. The wonderful sentiment is the Greetery's Simply
Wonderful.

Had to include the polka dots in the inspiration photo with the dotty bow tie!
Theres a lot of shimmer on my card too, like it's been out in the frosty air.

Well, that's it folks. Think I came close to the inspiration, but if you want to
see some brilliance, check out the designers at:

Christmas Card

Merry Christmas to me! The Greetery's order came super quick, and just couldn't
wait to play with all those amazing new stamps and dies!

The Hoop Wreath and Catching Snowflakes dies are the cutest!
I looked through Betsy's Lookbook to see what all the designers
created, and loved Heather's placement and use of the knit pattern
stencil, and Nordic Frame to anchor her hoop.

My card has a matching envelope, something I sat out to do at the beginning
of the year.

I stamped the single flower, masked it, and then stamped the greenery.
Added a bit of shading on the stamp.
The greetings and lines are from PTI's Pleasing Envelopes.

A few pop up foam dots, and my card is ready to send. I love this set so much,
I plan to do several cards in different colors with different sentiments!
Hope you're enjoying the season of joy.
