MIM #216: Adding Color to Cover Plates

Mondays are full of inspiration and instruction.
Laura Bassen has a wonderful video on Papertrey this morning,
showing us how to wow with our cover plates!

My baby boy turns 37 tomorrow!
He loves all things wood, and I found some wood paper I knew would be perfect
for him.
It's actual wood on card stock, and takes ink sponged on just like staining wood!

PTI June Blog Hop & SSS Wednesday Anything Goes

We're blog hopping on Nichole's blog today at PTI.
Here's the inspiration Nichole gave us:

Dreamy little shoes, bold
smokey grey & cream stripe with floral detailing.
Look carefully, inside the baby shoes, the sweet scrolled frame with the maker's name
caught my eye!

Wedding card? Engagement?
Selectively cut Delightful details into Fine Linen card stock,
sponge inked Smokey shadow on masked stripes.
Make It Market Mini: Garden Gild - Sentiment
Filled With Joy - a Stamp-A-Faire exclusive: Ferns & flower.
Orange Zest & Terracotta Tile Inks. (PTI)
Wet Cement Ink: Hero Arts
At the last minute I tucked in a few silver leaves from Garden Gild.
A peek inside,

And all ready to send!

Can't wait to see everyone's take on this one!
Enjoy the hop!

Also entering in SSS Wed. Anything Goes

Lighthouse, MIM #215 Bringing the Inside Out

Make It Monday this week, features Danielle showing us
how to 'Bring the Inside Out'.

PTI's order arrived yesterday, & I couldn't wait to ink up 'Guiding Lights'.
Lighthouses have long been a symbol of Our Lord's love and guidance,
and my worship leading daughter wrote a song years ago
comparing God's love to a lighthouse.

Dani's video features a front porthole with a peek into the inside.
Love her string bling and embellishments that say, 'you're special' to the receiver!

Hope you're enjoying life's blessings,
and know that despite what life brings, He is our Lighthouse!

Stamps: Guiding Lights, Light of Life
Dies:Guiding Lights, Scripted, Cover Plates: Blue Skies Rays & Waves
Inks: Pure Poppy, Scarlett Jewel, Fine Linen, Spring Rain
Cardstock: Stamper's Select, Linen, Enchanted Evening Pattern Pack

Tag You're It Challenge #24

Welcome tag creators!
It's challenge #24, and our inspiration comes from the fabulous Anja Curvors!

I'm such a fan, love her clever work, and her inspiration tag/card is full of
her joy of the craft!

Aqua water color, animal cutie, and stars were my inspiration.

I recently made my 1st Mama Elephant order, (don't know what took me so long!)
Love their simple sweet images and dies.
My pandas are from Pandamonium, and the balloon, tassel, and hello string
from Party Kit.
Hope your find inspiration here and on the other designers' blogs,
and find time to add your creation.
We love to see what you come up with, and comment,
and the winner receives a guest designership at TYI!

Paper Sweeties June Release Rewind!

Hi and welcome to Paper Sweeties June Release Rewind.
This is where we get to combine the older release with
the new.

One of the new stamps sets, Let's Go to the Beach, has this adorable hot air balloon.
It's perfect for coloring with pencils, watercolors or as I did, copics.

Covered the whole balloon with Glossy Accents.
Added some twine from (Paper Sweeties!),
and added the banner from Hello Friend
Happy Everything is where you can find '4th of July'.

Hope you've enjoyed this month's release.
And hope you'll visit each of the designer's blogs to check out their projects!

WM PJ Party Old Pj's

Not in time for the challenge,
but maybe you'd like to see it anyway,

Special Lady stamp (love her!)
and Old Country Roses
along with the circle die from Waltzingmouse.
Sentiment: Big Day Today

Waltzingmouse June PJ Party Challenge 2: Coffee Colour Palette

Waltzingmouse's most recent release,
included this delightful Mini Coffee Bag die.
It's perfect for gifting.

I die cut a window into it from Coffee Set, of a vintage grinder.
A few sweet posies at the bottom, embossed in ivory, and copic colored,
and a Stitched Tag with the same image and a sentiment complete.
The darling mini bag holds just enough coffee for one or two cups.
