3 Lattes, Please...

Hi there, and Happy Holidays... almost.
Seriously, with Christmas season sneaking in, my craftroom is all set for Holiday card making.

I transformed the new, Warm and Wonderful from the Greetery,
into 3 Christmas card greetings.

This first card mounts the coffee mug on The Greetery's large Wood Slice, and
I stamped my sentiment on the smaller one.
Background was created with Tartan Builder Diagonal. I also added a few florals
from Merry Sprigs.

With a background made from Tartan Builder Diagonal again, this mug is
mounted onto a vellum oval, and the sentiment from Hug in a Mug is
embossed onto it.

I added a floral bouquet to this one made from Merry Sprigs, and some greens and berries
from Warm & Wonderful. Frosted Frames finished the card.

The third card is stamped with The Greetery's Print Shop Calico, and stenciled with
reds and greens. The little tag is from Hug in a Mug Sweets. The oval is stenciled
with Berry Branch, one of my favorites to use on cards. Stitched framed is from
Spellbinders.

Back to the craft room, it's going to see a lot of me for the next few months!

The Card Concept: Travel Abroad or Stay At Home

Hi Folks! It's time for a new post at the Card Concept, and we have 2 choices to
inspire you, Travel Abroad or Stay at Home. You can choose.

I zoned in on the globe and knew what stamp set I was going to use.
It's an oldie from Concord & 9th called Globe Greetings.

I have a recipient for this card. My DIL is a geography teacher, and she really is,
The World's Best Teacher.

T

The stack of books is from PTI: Glorious Globes Basics, and the gorgeous leaf is
The Greetery's Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf.

The tiny blossoms are also from the Greetery: Botanicuts: Apple.

Sorry I don't know what stencil I used for the background. If you know,
I'd love to know the name. I found the panel in my stash, and loved the design with the
globe. Inked in gray,  it gave off vintage vibes.

Play along for 2 weeks, and be sure to mention what style you used, and don't
forget to add our inspiration photo to your post.

I call this card, Vintage Layered. (a term I made up, perfectly acceptable, btw!)

Playing with The Greetery's Calico Collection

Well hi, crafty friends. Did you get any of the Greetery's latest release?
I had to play with some of my order immediately, and chose The Stencil Shapes
Autumn to play with first.

For this card, I followed Lori's tutorial on You Tube, and didn't stray far from her
brilliant and careful instruction. I liked this, but wanted to do more.
So I did.

I went bolder with my colors, and cut the panel with the Patchwork die. Love all the
stencils, and the result is a gorgeous design with a panel for my sentiment.
Honestly, Betsy's brilliant!

Lastly is the Botanicuts Apple dies, with the Bushel Basket. Once again, followed
the great instructions from Lori, and added a stenciled panel from Printshop Calico
stamp and stencils, cut with Cozy Cup Coaster die.
The EF is an oldie from Cuttlebug.

I left this card without a sentiment, so I could use it later.

Hope to do more soon. Love this release!

The Flower Challenge #72 Reminder: Add Sparkle

It's reminder time at the Flower Challenge, where the theme this month is
Add Sparkle.

I used a few sparkles on my reminder card. Paper with glitter stripes, glitter
paper, and some sparkle spray on my bouquet.

You can see the sparkle on this photo. I've had this stripped paper for years
and was so happy to use it for this card.

The Glitter paper is from Poppystamps

My die cuts are from the Greetery, and the paper I used for the wrap is a wrapping
off a bar of soap I saved because it was just too special to toss!
Add some sparkle to your creation and play along!

The Card Concept: Change of Seasons

Hi and welcome to a post for The Card Concept. We're back after a summer break
with a new challenge: Change of Seasons.

What inspires you? The butterfly? The colors? The flower?
I saw the butterfly, and decided to add a butterfly to my card. But I
also saw the lovely grey background and remembered a card  Betsy
Veldman did, with her red rubber stamp, Fond of Foliage
from the Greetery on her grey card.

Betsy used an oxide ink, I used my white Pigment ink, stamping several times
until I was happy with the impression.

Hollyhock Stems is a multi-stamp process, and I used several inks from
 Concord & 9th and Altenew.
Jumbo Butterfly is also from the Greetery, and is stenciled, and color penciled.
Sentiment from Arched Sentiments and is white embossed.

Hoping you find time to play along with The Card Concept.
We love seeing your creations!

Have a wonderful week!

The Flower Challenge #72 Add Sparkle

Did someone say 'sparkle?'
Hi and welcome to a new month and a new challenge. Add Sparkle is our theme
at the Flower Challenge.

Sparkle plenty, with this card. The flower is from Altenew's Craft-A-Flower
collection, and is called Carolina Allspice.

I started with a stenciled background, and added Altenew's Polka Dot Leaves,
before layering on my flower.

The last layer of the flower and leaves are die cut from glitter cardstock.

In case you're curious, below is an actual Carolina Allspice, apparently
from a flowering tree.

Gorgeous, isn't it!

Play along all month, and remember to make a flower/flowers the main element
on your card.
