Let Heaven and Nature Sing!

Hello and welcome!
One of the things I love most about card making is finding themes I connect with.
Happily the case with The Greetery's new release.

Let Heaven and Nature Sing! Christmas Carols in stamps and dies!
An expression of my faith sent to those I love. Makes creating cards a double joy!

The blooming treble clef is deeply etched, and resembles a carving when die cut. This one
is inked, painted and backed with it's coordinating die.
Lots of metallic. paint added to the stamped verse.

Honestly almost tossed this one. It's been embossed several times, and I just couldn't
get what I was after.

In the end, I thought is was just OK, and went with it's organic feel.

My Christmas stash is growing, and that's the important thing!

Hope you are having a productive and crafty week. Blessings!

O Come All Ye Faithful

So many beautiful stamps and dies in The Greetery's newest release. I did get the Heaven
and Nature Sing set, loving the large note die with it's greenery.

I did several panels of the Pine & Berry stamp, and chose one stamped with gold ink
for my song card. Watch Betsy's video for assembly and all her cool tricks.

I die cut my big note from black cardstock and painted it with gold metallic watercolor.
The foliage in green metallic. I also backed the note with it's coordinating die.

Working on no. 2 card, loving these sets, and the concept of greetings with Christmas
music!

The Greetery's Stencil Scapes Winter

I finally received my Greetery order, and spent the day with Stencil Scapes Winter.
The first card was a 'follow the stencil suggestions' for color.

I added a banner sentiment from Banner & Bough, and dusted the card with droplets
of white paint, simulating a snowy day.

The process of stenciling went quickly and I wanted to play with the sky
colors.

Some of the Greetery's designers did a pink sky, and that looked fun, so I added pink
then yellow Distress Oxide Inks.

I arched the sentiment from Sentiment Suite Christmas in my Misti before
stamping, and added a frame. I also tucked in a few bits of greenery in the bottom
corners from Banner & Bough.

Did another pink & yellow sky, again added a red & white candy cane frame, (do you
remember Betsy's Make It Market All Through the house? The paper is from that kit)
and made my own banner to fit the sentiment (Sentiment Suite Christmas).

On a roll now, so did another card.

I added Frosty Pines die cut trees to the 4th card, and framed it also.

This time using the banner from Christmas Time Sentiments.

All frames used are listed below, and are Oldies from PTI.
I gave this card a spray of Sheer Shimmer Sparkle and sentiment die cut
from Christmas Time Sentiments.

The 6th and last card, I like best. I just seemed to get the line up right, and colors were
what I wanted. The snow droplets are from Nuvo white Crystal Drops.

I will probably cut off the wings from the Fir trees before mailing. I'm ready to go with
my envelopes. The holidays are always a busy time, and I love that stenciling is so quick
and easy, and this scene makes a darling card!

Hope I inspired a bit. Enjoy your day, hope it's a crafty one!

The Card Concept: Harvest Bounty or Christmas Joy

It's time for a new challenge at the Card Concept.  Our theme is: Harvest Bounty or
Christmas Joy. You choose, Autumn theme or Christmas card. With Christmas so near
we thought it would be fun have a dual choice.

I have some Christmas inspiration for you today, and I used the Joy sign on the
top shelf in the picture as the theme of my card.

My card is a shaker, Joy is from Poppystamps, and cut first from silver glitter card
stock and then from white 5 times. Lots of flora from Tim Holtz. 2 sets used here,

Play along with your choice: Harvest Bounty or Christmas Joy

Be Merry

Greetings holiday lovers. This time of year begins a countdown to getting my Christmas
card done.

It took awhile to get my Greetery order this time, and I happily dug right in with
the new Twinkle Background die.  I paired it with the Jumbo Curiosity Teardrop
Ornament and plan. to do several more. Love the effect with Glitter Cardstock from
Memory Box.

Lots of sparkle going on here! How are you enjoying your holiday card making?
It's the most wonderful (and crafty) time of the year!
Also used: The Greetery's Be Merry die, Botanicuts Pine Bough

Harvey and Me

Anybody else head over heels with Tim Holtz' newest release? Love, love love,
Harvey. He's a sweet, petite soldier guy, you can colorize any way you like. And
I like! So much do I like Harvey, I did 3 cards, and plan to do more.

Harvey can be dressed and festooned, with or without eyes and a mustache, boots, gold, boots,
any color, and anything else you want to add.

Harvey no. 1 is dressed in bright red. And I borrowed the idea of putting him in front of
TH's iron gates, from one of the TH designers, which are really for Halloween, but are so
darn clever I couldn't resist.
The background, ah yes, the background. Well, I don't know what it is. I found the
embossed panel in my stash, rubbed pine oxide ink over it, then lightly rubbed copper
paste over the lifted images.
The banner is a combo of TH Deck the Halls and a leftover banner from the
Greetery (Joy to the World?)

Card 2, features Harvey on a swag built with dies from Holiday Brushstroke 3.
All over Tree Rings EF. Let me just say, this panel started off white. Then rubbed
with Oxide Inks until I was happy.
Be Merry: The Greetery

Harvey no. 3 took me the longest. I don't know, every thing I did just didn't
see to come together. I was finally happy with this version.
Here's the recipe:
Background: TH Layered Plaid, which is 3 dies
Oval: Memory Box
Background in pink: TH Pine Branches
Harvey

Candy Cane & Presents: TH Santa's Helper

and Tree: Twig & Stump

thanks for hanging in, hope you enjoyed!

Cozy Cabin

Hello! Enjoying some craft time with the Greetery's Sitting Pretty die set, making it into
a Christmas card.

All the stamps and dies I used are from the Greetery, including the banner from
their first holiday release, Christmas Eve. The little details  are from Speed Tagging.

Precious kitty is our own Miss Frizz, so named by my daughter-in-law because she
was a mess when she showed up in our yard. Abandoned and starving, dear Miss
Frizz became a favorite. You were never alone with Miss Frizz. Gentle. and cuddly,
she trained the kittens I brought home (also abandoned), and kept our home mouse free!

The tree is from Tree Trimmings.

Lots of snow from embossing paste and sparkle spray.

Hope you enjoyed a little Christmas inspiration today. Stay crafty!

The Card Concept: The Colors of Fall

The Colors of Fall, the Card Concepts new challenge begins today!

This photo and it's colors captured my heart, and inspired my Layered and Elegant
card.

I used the colors of the inspiration photo to a point, but added orange and purple,
and used several new sets from the Greetery's Calico Collection.

The scene is a mix of Rolling Hills, Thankful Heart and Rolling Hills Tree Details.

Play along at the Card Concepts' blog. We love seeing your creations.

win some fabulous prizes! See you in the lineup, and Happy 6th, Flower Challenge!
