The Flower Challenge 2: Occasions, Part 2

Now if someone told me I could only create floral cards, I would laugh.. out loud!
They're my favorite, to do and get.

I fell in love with this Amaryllis 3-D die from Spellbinders at Christmas time, and
needed a special card for a special lady, turning the big 5-0.

The petals assemble to form the 4 flowered Amaryllis, with stamens. My flower is
cut from Poppystamps' watercolor cardstock. I watercolored the petals and leaves,
and glued the flower to a panel of Altenew stamped background (Dot Art).

The finished flower is long, so I chose a 5x7" base for the card.

The marvelous numbers are from The Greetery. I love their extra special detail!

The finished card is too dimensional for a regular envelope. My plan is to create my own
box with my We R Memory Keepers tool.

The Flower Challenge 2 runs through the 25th, still plenty of time to join.

Have a good one!

The Flower Challenge: Occasions

One of my very favorite challenges is the Flower Challenge. Who doesn't love
crafting with flowers, right?

Spellbinders has a die set called Sweet Pea,  which I played with to give the petals
a 3-D effect.

The technique to alter the petals is on a Youtube video here:

A closeup of the flowers. The tendrils were created by cutting strips of copic colored
paper. Then curling with my fingernail.

Sentiment: The Greetery's All Kinds of Happy.
Frame, also the Greetery's Postal Frame.

Candy Jar

Hello my friends! I have another card for the birthday stash, made with the
Greetery's new Confections release. I was so glad I pushed the button for the
bundle. So many of my favorites are out of stock, including the bundle.

Birthdays have a way of sneaking up on me, and I love having plenty of
celebrating the happy days with family and friends. With this card, I used
the Sweet Tooth stamps and dies, together with The Greetery's Jumbo Jar.

Not wanting to cover up all those luscious candies, I used a sentiment from
the set embossed on heat resistant vellum. I originally intended to make it
a shaker card, changed my mind and secured the insides all in place.

I'm a huge chocolate fan, and this is one of my favorites so far with the release!
It was so much to do. Each stamping step gives it more realism. Add the bright
colors, and of course chocolate inks, and you can almost taste the sweets! (Almost...)

Did you get what you wanted from the release? Hopefully all will be restocked, just
in case.

Have a wonderful week!

Birthday Sweets

Are you ready for some more sugar?
Can't get enough of the Confection sets from the Greetery. Loving every sweet
image!

As I finished this card, I imagined doing several more with just certain pieces, like, just
the dipped cookies, or just the macaroons. So many design options!

A simple banner, so as not to take away from the sweets' details.

Lots of  extra pieces, and happy to say, the birthday stash is growing!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hello, hope all is well with you. If you're a Greetery fan, you're well acquainted with the
new Confections release. I spent a good amount of time playing with some of the stamps
and dies in the set for the past few days. I was on Grandma duty up in the mountains of
Ahwanhee, where the air was crisp and frosty. Once the grands were in school, it was a
combo of creative time and dog walking. Pure joy!

Like most of you, I've read our birthday stash is seriously depleted. Time to re-stash!
And what a fabulous set of stamps and dies Betsy has given us! I love to multi-stamp, and
pile on the layers. So this set, for me, pushes all my buttons.

Loving the sweetness of the 'sweet' script!

First to be played with was an idea I had for a box of donuts.

This isn't that thick as I used no foam, just layers, so I'm sure is fine for mailing.

Another card is coming, just have to put it together. Like I said spent days die
cutting and stamping the candies and cookies. Stay tuned!

Have a wonderful day!

The Card Concept: Cozy Cabin

Hello, friends! Welcome to the a challenge at The Card Concept.
Our inspiration photo is clean and simple, and full of pattern.

I took my inspiration from the colors.

Plenty of pattern on my Clean and Layered card, with the inspiration colors as my
muse, and a birthday theme.

The tiny envelope holds a birthday greeting, and is removable.

The red clothespin holds it in place.

One more birthday card for the stash, always like to have plenty on hand!

Hope you are inspired to pick a style and join the fun! See you in the lineup!

Valentine Set

Valentines, 2022, and I have a die cut set of little notes to share with you.
This set uses Spellbinders' Large Kit of the month.

I used traditional red and white, with a touch of pink and green.

5 valentine notes fit into the box holder.

the notecard is lifted out by the heart. I used a stamped message from The Greetery.
Valentine, on the front is from Poppystamps, and is die cut twice.

Such an easy way to give a pretty set, or hand out sweet messages.
Do you have plans for Valentines? The hubs and I will be celebrating at home
this year. We were told to expect weather in the 70's. Perfect for a steak barbecue.

Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentines Duo

Hello, and Happy February, the month for all things LOVE!

Before my hubs and I left for a vacation/visit of our oldest daughter, I ordered The Greetery's
newest release, featuring all things Valentine, called, 'Confections.' Betsy also included a new
Botanicuts... Strawberries.

I finally got to play with my new order, and created a couple of valentine cards.

The dies have it with these 2 cards. So much fun to assemble, and layer!

With the look of a box of chocolates, and a few dipped strawberries, it's all sweets and
treats for the recipient of these cards.

The new sentiments dies are Happy on steroids! All different fonts which I doubled die-ed.

Hope you're doing well. I know it's been a rough couple of months starting this new
year. 3 of my grands and their mom and dad all had covid right after Christmas.
Thank God, all came through, and all's well now.

Take good care!

The Card Concept: Love is in the Air

The Card Concept has a new challenge, and it's 'Love is in the Air.'

Hello! And with Valentines around the corner, all crafting turns to the heart.

I just love the Greetery's new Frosted Frames Die.

A lovely way to frame a heart wreath with a love message!

When I saw the inspiration challenge, I instantly thought of the Greetery's Boxwood Heart
Wreath set. I used my copics to add a bit more depth to the boxwood leaves.

My pink is another Greetery's set: Forget-Me-Nots.

Hope you're inspired to play along. Pick a style and don't forget to add our photo to your post!
