Happy Birthday Card for MIM #198

A quick post for MIM,
found a bit of time and wanted to play along.
Ashley has a wonderful tutorial on Nichole's blog showing
how to create 3 panel cards.

Just received my Jan. order and couldn't wait to ink up a cupcake from Baker's Dozen, and die cut
the darling cake plate.

Can't have enough birthday cards ready to go in my family!

Bottom panel holds a giftcard, (that one's mine, haven't used it yet!)

Did an envelope to match.

And always finish with a 'handmade stamp'.

Besides Baker's Dozen, used Stitched Swirls,
Happy Notes, Ruby Rose, Handmade Hodgepodge and BB: Super Stripes.
All PTI card stocks and Inks except Hero's Wet Cement.
Abit of Glossy Accents on the hearts
& heart clips to close.

Just a few days left to play along,

I think this holds a record for most photos posted for a single card (ha!).

Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind!

Welcome back, Paper Sweeties fans!
It's rewind time, where we show you how great the new stamps
work with the old.

My latest grandchild was a boy (7 months already!) so, in his honor,  I made a boy card
using the new Bouncing Baby set (baby feet & 'It's a' sentiment).
The rattle was so easy, made with a 1" punch, star from Be Happy (die),
and bottom die from the new set.
B, O, Y letter blocks from Fancy Monograms.
And bird tweeting the announcement from Home Tweet Home.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the teamies!

Paper Sweeties January Release Party!

It's release day at Paper Sweeties!
Today you can order the darling sets you've seen here and
on my teammates' blogs!

I've done 2 cards for you today, one for a girl baby, and one for a boy.

My baby girl card features the adorable giraffe from Bouncing Baby.
This set gives you some words and sentences to put just the right
sentiment on your card or tag!
Paper Sweeties Cotton Candy twine & sequins

Using the same layout, and boy colors, I created a baby boy card.

Blueberry twine and sequins this time.

I love having cards ready for the next 'baby's here' announcement!

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown!

Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties January Release, and we're one day closer
to being able to purchase the new 'Baby' stamps and dies!
Today my card features a clothesline set from Bundle of Joy.

Stamped once on the card front, and die cut and stamped twice more to announce
a Baby Boy!
Behind the card is a matching envelope.
So quick and easy with the matching dies!
Hope you'll come back tomorrow for more of this month's Baby Release!

MIM #197: Homemade Foam Stickers

The Craftroom is geared up for Valentines, and
there's heart dies and heart stamps in neat little piles ready to be
discovered all over again! And some newbies too!

Laurie's challenge for MIM is to create stickers from our dies.

Happy die from Tipped Top, first ombred with Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet & Hibiscus Burst,
before die cutting and affixed to foam.
I used the Tasting Tag to tie on my arrows from Cupid's Arrow (Tied with twine)
and stamped the bottom with Valentine's Day from Boutique Borders: Valentine.
The heart is die cut from Limitless Layers,  Hearts and run through an embossing folder.
The 10 cent stamp is from my stash.
Flowers and leaves cut from Stamp-A-Faire 40's set (love how they emboss as they cut!)
Cardstock: PTI & Crate Paper's Kiss, Kiss.

MIM #196: Colorful Card Corners

Danielle shows us how to use corners for interest in this week's
Make It Monday.
With a subtle dreamy background, and a sentiment, the colorful corner image
steals the show.

Rather masculine, but think it could be for a graduate or gal friend.
1st stamped World Map on watercolor paper in kraft, with Spring Moss on land areas.
Then brushed on water in certain areas. Ocean in Aqua Mist and Spring Rain.
Hands Of Time is my corner accent. It's Canyon Clay (know it looks orange, but I wanted a coppery color, and that's the closest to copper.
'Antiqued' the edges with gold ink for a vintage feel.
Sentiment also from Hands of Time with the flourish from Stamp-A-Faire Renaissance.
Also did an envelope with another image from Renaissance in Canyon Clay (stamped off).
Hard to see, but added Wink of Stella Gold to the hands and 'Time'.
