HLS October Watercolor Challenge: Optional Gold!

Hi everyone! It's October 1st and time for another HLS Watercolor Challenge!
This time, with an optional twist... Gold.

Watercolor + Gold = yes please!

My die cut grand leaf is from PapertreyInk, and is called Enclosed: Leaf.
From watercolor paper I cut the leaf, and wet painted with my pan watercolors. Then gold embossed the 2nd or top rim and sentiment with gold embossing powder.
The panel is Wonky Stitched from My Favorite Things.
The leaf veins were first stamped and then spritzed with water.
Sequins from Buttons Galore and More.

Play along all month for a $20. gc at Happy Little Stampers!

See you in the lineup!

12 Kits of Occasions 'Hello Fall'

Hello Fall!
And hello to all of you!
It's time for 12 Kits of Occasions, a group of friends who loves to craft.
Our hostess this month is the fabulously talented Marybeth Lopez,
from Marybeth's Time for paper.
She sent us a kit full of autumn joy! So let's get right to it.

I'm leading off with the card I posted on the 12 Kits blog, and the adorable Purple Onion pup and wagon. Pumpkins are PTI: Autumn Scarecrow.
Marybeth included the kiwi twine in our kit.

Adore this scarecrow! From PTI's release last month.
copic colored with sheaves of wheat, also from PTI: Give Thanks

Here's one that was easy breezy. This sweet pumpkin card was ready to add to designer paper.
I fussy cut the thank you banner, and the Autumn Berries branch (PTI) was already on my work table.

When one of these kits comes in the mail, the first thing I do is pair up dp with die cuts.
This wonderful cart from PTI's Make It Market, just seemed made for the autumn tree paper!
(Frame: PTI Cover Plate: Pretty Frame)

I slipped this sentiment inside the Memory Box Pinpoint frame, and watercolored and added the leaves to my sponge inked card. (Poppystamps)

Finally a shaker with the lovely embossed Serendipity Maple Leaf and Quote.

Be sure to visit all the team to see what they did with their kits.
I love going over to their blogs and thinking, 'this is so clever!'
Happens every month, folks. I love this talented team!

A great big mwah! to Marybeth for her fall kit!
Loved playing with every bit, and still have more left over!

Hugs, all!

Tag You're It with Bev Buenker

Hi and welcome to a new challenge at Tag You're It.

Bev Buenker has given us this b/w beauty with a touch of red as our inspiration.

I zoned in on the black and white stripes.

My tag is from a new mini market set by Betsy Veldman for PapertreyInk:
Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Tag Along
I cut the tag first from Black and then white, using one of the included dies to create the
diagonal stripes.
My cupcake is from Clearly Besotted's Tasty Treats.

I love cherry, and gave it some dimension with stamping.

I'd love to see what you do with the inspiration tag.

Happy Crafting!

PTI September '17 Blog Hop

Good Morning! It's the 25th, and that means time for PTI's September Blog Hop!
Nichole gave us this piece of art for inspiration.

I played with the Brushed off die, fitting my sentiment in the window.
Here's the 1st of 3 cards.

Year of the Psalms: August, Nesting, Ivy & Bloom, and one sprig of Beautiful Berries: Autumn.
The sentiment was 1st embossed with Ivory ep, and then copic colored.

Another card for fall. Beautiful Berries: Autumn, and Year of the Psalms: August.
Twig Wreath and some sprigs from Autumn Pumpkins.

Brushed Off: Rectangle

And one more, a Christmas card

This time with Brushed Off: Oval.
I cut some of the fir dies from Beautiful Berries: Winter, for windows.
I LOVE the Psalm series! And love the windows to showcase them!
Year of the Psalms: September
Off to hop along with all of you!

Have a great day!

Oh Frap!

Did you all know the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is happening?
I just don't miss playing along with Amy and the group and all those
generous sponsors

I never know when I'll need a belated birthday card, and I love the AI chicken set
featuring the art of Bonnie Krebs! Miss Henny Penny is holding her cut, 'O Frap',
and a little note at the bottom explains her bird brain.
Tags from Reverse Confetti.

Art Impressions and Reverse Confetti are both Super Sponsors of the Hop!
Thanks to all for participating!

Grab a cuppa and join in the fun! Hop lasts through Friday.

Blessed Autumn card

Dawn McVey has a video that captured my card making heart, on
Nichole's blog. MIM this week celebrates mixing the PTI Florals.
Hooray! I love all things floral, and ALL the florals at Papertrey.
Time to pull out the fall stamp sets. And with Dawn's advice on 'how to',
combine a few and celebrate this time of year!

I have to tell you, I was late ordering Beautiful Berries: Autumn, just received it a few days ago.
But like all the sets that shine a light on the beauty of this season, I'm won over.

As Dawn advised, I collected several of my Autumn stamps, deciding which ones to combine.
Twig Wreath helped to 'ground' the different sets.
Simple Sunflower hasn't seen ink in a while, but I liked the size with the berry branch.
Also liked the look of elements in Paper Clippings: Thankful For You Details.
My sentiment is from Inspired: Blessed
Thank you for visiting this morning. Check out Dawn's video here:

Heaven & Nature Sing

It's time again for Create Along With Us. Our chance to case the
beautiful new stamps and dies and the creative genius of the PTI designers.
This month, Nichole's striking tag caught my eye.

Definitely going in the cart!
Nichole did several things that were jaw dropping; the colors, the candy striped circle,
Scarlett Jewel bg, and some glossy accents on the berries.

My tag came from Don't Forget to Write
Double Edge Banner
Sentiment: Christmas Faith
Lots of Christmas greenery and bow from Tinsel & Tags.
And, of course, Glossy Accents.
There's a few raindrops too.

I'm excited that I have a Christmas card done!
I think I only have 99 to go!

Have a wonderful day!

Just a Little Note

Make It Monday, and Lexi, this week, with a great tutorial on
repeating small images on our cards.
She shows several examples, among them repeating a small image on a punched backing.

I made a card set using the bee from Monthly Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols.
I punched the scallop circle from a Martha Stewart punch, and the smaller circle (1") is
a Fiskars Punch.

I colored my bees with copics and added Wink of Stella to their little wings.

Sentiment: Note Niblets
Noted Scallop A1 Size card die

Such a quick and easy way to do a card or note card set!
Thanks, Lexi!
