The Card Concept: Easter Blessings

It's spring, and Easter is right around the corner. The Card Concept Challenge has
a new inspiration for you, Easter Blessings.

I love artful arrangements assembled for the holidays, and I was drawn to how
lovely the new photo for our challenge is. The sweet elements, all symbols of
the Easter season inspired my Clean and Layered card.

I used The Greetery's Hippity Happily Stamp, Stencil and Die set to create my card.

The simple stylized bunny wreath is further decorated with the Greetery's new flower
and sequin shaker elements.

Hope you'll have some time to play along. Don't you love that we've added color swatches
to help you with your card creation? Play along, and don't forget to include out photo
inspiration on your blog post.

Have a wonderful week!

The Card Concept: Spring Garden

Hi Card Concept players! It's time for a new challenge. Our inspiration photo is full of
Spring!
I chose to use the colors for my mixed media card.

I used an embossing folder, and inked it lightly so the images would pop. I then gave

it a light spray with gold.Have you ventured into the world of foiling yet?

Love this foil effect, and how the red and fuchsia pop off of it.

Hope you're inspired to pick a style and play along. Lots of inspiration by our

team!

2 Challenges, one card

It's time to use our scraps on The Flower Challenge. The problem I had was choosing
from the scrap pile! So many scraps!

This panel I did with an embossing folder, turned out badly, but I just couldn't toss it.
It was done with a brayer and Wilted Violet Distress Ink, and inked before running it
through the machine. Depending on which side you ink, you're left with a raised pattern.

The gold spray I added blobbed in too many areas, and the only way to save this piece was
possibly to hide the blobs or cut them away.

I decided to do both, hide the blobs, and cut away a bit of edges.
I used a Poppystamps frame with an Altenew flower, and embossed a sentiment on some
heat resistant acetate.

The flower was both stamped and copic colored.

The outline was stamped with Hero Arts Wet Cement, an ink I use often with copics.

I'm also entering in another favorite card challenge, Just Us Girls.

Birthday Notecard Set

Hi Friends. Thought I'd share a project I've been working on.
My daughter asked for one of my 'extra' birthday cards for a friend, and
I decided to make her a few. That turned into a boxed set of 6!

These are strange and stressful times right now. Feeling helpless I turn to prayer.
And crafting... it helps focus energy towards something besides anger and sadness.

This was not a quick set. Planning started with The Greetery's Notecard Dies, and
because they were smaller than the A2 Notecard box, I cut down the box by
adjusting the sizes of the dies to fit the notecard.

Positioning the dies in your machine will get you the desired size. And it takes a bit of
math and measurement. If you'd like my size notes I'd be glad to share them with you.
Pictured above is the notecard box plus the handmade envelope made for the card.

6 cards, 2 of each color, and 6 envelopes, completes the set. They fit nice and snug inside
the little box.

The paper is Peony from PTI, stripe and it's coordinating solid cardstock.
And the macaroons are The Greetery's new Sweet Tooth. Sweet die also from
The Greetery, and cut twice.

The sweet pastel colors just seemed right with the macaroons, and I added a bit
of 'sugar' to the tops of each cookie, and one heart from Betsy's cookie confetti.

The green heart is copic colored, on a white heart.

Completed project, something I hope my daughter will like. As I said, not the
quickest to do but satisfying to have completed!

Blessings, my friends.

The Card Concept: The Wearing O' The Green

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Card Concept's newest challenge... 'Wearing 'O the Green'.

And here we are, in March, and ready for all things green! Our inspiration is a nod to
St. Patrick's Day, complete with colors and shamrocks.

I switched my ride, and chose instead the sweet convertible from the Greetery's Top Down Day.

The shamrocks come from PTI, an old set, and the the rest of card is The Greetery.

We hope you'll be inspired by the theme/colors, and pick a style and play along!
See you in the lineup!
