Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh

I'm excited to be playing in the Curtain Call Challenge,
where the Inspiration is: Farm Fresh

Started with the honey as my inspiration, and then morphed into seeing the crate,
the colors, well, you know how that goes sometimes!

The result is a 'farm fresh' card I'll probably use as a notecard.

Farm fresh sentiment from Clear Art Stamps: Farm Chicks.
stamped fussy cut and matted in Stone grey.
All cardstock: PTI
Cherries, oven mit and lilac gingham: Farm House

Can't wait to see what everyone else does with this challenge,
I'm a hopeless romantic for anything 'farmie'!

Paper Sweeties March Release Rewind!

Have you all enjoyed the new goodies at Paper Sweeties?

It's time to rewind and check out the last of my posts for this month.
I've used something from each new release in this card.

Bunny Hugs and Kisses stamp set has this adorable bunny outfit!

I hand cut the outfit, used Abigail's face, and flocked the ears and chest.
The darling eggs are also a part of this set, as well as the basket.
The eggs are first die cut from Sweet Cuts: Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes,
as well as the flowers from from Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes,
the sentiment is from Wagon Add-on: Bloom and Grow
There's a little bouquet of sequins (love those!) on the sentiment doily.
I sprayed and glittered the card when it was done,
kinda makes it eggstra special! (couldn't resist!)

Paper Sweeties March Release Party

Today's the day! Paper Sweeties' March Release Party!
Can you feel the excitement?
Let me introduce one of the stamp sets, Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.
I chose this set to show you because there is a full set of matching dies too!

I love this sweet little lamb!
He's die cut, flocked with Stampendous Fuzzy Fun Flock and copic colored.
I used a die cut flower (also in the set) for the hole on the tag.

I made (yes made!) this cute little basket for my tag, and adorned it all around with more
flowers and leaves. Paper Sweeties is now carrying sequins in all colors.
You have to see to believe how cute these little sequin flowers are!

Here's the link instructions on making this super simple basket:

http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/4994893/post264964028
It's not in English (Russian I think), But great photos, easy to follow.
I made my basket bigger by adding an extra strip, and making my paper strips 10" long.
The band is 11".

I think this would be adorable for candy,
but also as a presentation for a shower gift.
Can you just picture it with baby socks or onesies?

We're counting down at Paper Sweeties, till the big release day (tomorrow!)
And the new goodies are the best so far!
3 adorable stamp sets and one die set that's spring perfection!

I made an egg wreath with one of the new dies.
The background leaf emboss is from last month's release: Welcome Spring
(a seasonal must have!)

The egg die is the perfect size and shape for misting and distressing,
and there's a stamp for it in tomorrow's release!
The cute little sign is from a new set called: Wagon Add-on Bloom and Grow.
You'll note the baker's twine in pink and white, Debbie is offering twine in
a multitude of glorious colors!

Don't forget to  hop on over to see all the fun projects the rest of the Design Team has for you!
And don't forget to come back tomorrow. All the lovelies will be for sale at Paper Sweeties!

MIM #155

Danielle shows us how to make and use confetti for our projects.
What's more fun than confetti?

Needed to replenish  my birthday stash, especially for the men in the family,
(the hardest to make for),
so used Tipped Top, and Birthday Style.
Chose 3 main colors: Hawaiian Shores, Limeaid Ice and Winter Wisteria.
When it was finished, I thought too plain so threw in Summer Sunrise stars.

Used one of the background 'experiments' I've been having fun with.
The 'square' confetti is from the Berry Basket die.
Tipped Top Happy is inset.
There's still time to play!
Come join the fun here:

My card features a bit of each new set.

Dies for the chickie and egg with stamps to match make this card such fun to do.
For the next 3 days you'll see lots more from me and my teamies, so you don't want to miss a thing!

The rest of the design team has lots more sneaks, be sure to take a peek!

Waltzingmouse March PJ Party Bedtime story

The last phase of WM's pajama party is a sketch challenge.
My gift card die came just in time to do a card for a son in law's bd.
Used some designer paper, PTI Handyman stamps and dies (saw, hammer and wrench)
and an embossing folder that looks like rocks.

Behind the saw card is a gift card, (not inserted yet!), tools because he is a building contractor.
Fun to have a die set that accommodates a gift card!

Waltzingmouse March PJ Party

Hi and welcome to the March Pajama Party at Waltzingmouse Stamps!

That's right, no dress code required, just the most comfy pi's and hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Challenge 1 - To Die For
My new order with all the fun new dies just arrived yesterday, a bit late to play with for the challenge but I love and use often the Fine Feathers stamps and dies.

Card 1: For You

Silver embossed background
Vellum sentiment strip from the gorgeous scripted freebee I was sent with my first order with WM.
(I think I was a bit too generous with the sequins and seed beads, something I need to work on!)

Card 2: For You

Created the stenciled bg with hand mixed paste and a Cheery Lynn doily.
Used a glittered doily under the die cut feathers.

This double embossed For You from Folk Art Medalion

Challenge 2: St. Patrick's Day Charm

Sweet Claire provided us with St. Patty's downloads, which is what I used for my
cards.

Card 1: Wee Miss

A darlin' lass antiqued with ep then crackled and ink stained (thank you Heather Nichols!)
Background check from WM's Pinstripe, vertical then stamped horizontal.
Had to add the charm!

Card 2: With Love

Another download included this bouquet of shamrocks.
Copic colored and clear embossed.
Corner posies from Folk Art Medallion
'charm' tag' from WM's Opera Tags
Cheery Lynn doily die
Vintage lace, emerald baker's twine, rhinestones and pearls
Molly the pin cushion half doll just wouldn't stay out of the photo!
(She's such a hussy!)

Clallenge 3: What Would Mother Do

My mother? Honestly could do anything she put her mind to!
She ran my dad's business in the early years, sewed matching clothes for my sister and I,
ran a horse and fruit tree ranch and was blessed with red hair and 'Rose' for a middle name.
Along the white fence of said ranch my dad planted 270 rose bushes in honor of his 'Rose'.
Clovis Ave. was a busy highway, but that didn't stop people from picking a few roses or snapping some pictures.

Generation stamped card from Simple Sprig.

Have a great night!
Think I'll  play with those new dies!

Seriously, Molly!

Card Concept #5 Color Challenge

This week's Card Concept challenge is brought to us by the fabulously talented Lesley Croghan.
We are nearing St. Patty's day, so I think she was inspired by the glorious color green.
Here's our luscious photo inspiration:

Used a new Memory Box die, Paper Cut Tulips Circle.
Never thought of doing it in greens, but rather like the surprise outcome.

2 other dies complete construction of the tulips and center of die cut.
Paper Cut Tulips and Adorable Posies.

I created a bg by sponging New Leaf over 3 white strips (PTI),
like the cake pop sticks in the photo.

MIM #154 & Virginia's View Challenge #1

There's a new challenge blog I wanted to play,
and the challenge is watercolors.
LOVE!
Virginia's View Challenge #1

Sample beauties, and she gives a great bunch of tips to those new to watercoloring.

I did use watercolor paper as she suggested, and stamped my vases first
with clear embossing, then began wet on wet for the background.
Then I added PTI's Delightful Dahlias in Berry sorbet, then Pure Poppy, both misted to give
a more watery feel. Same with the leaves.
Stems from PTI's Mum's the Word
Sentiment: PTI Think Big Favorites #19
I Stickled the center of my flowers, mounted on PTI card stocks: Limeaid Ice & Tropical Teal.
I'm also playing along with this week's MIM, with Erin Lincoln
showing us how to use color & texture for One Layer Cards.
I rarely do a one layer, can you believe it?
So Intrigued with the construct of cards, with all the possibilities. I seem to dream in layers!

Might be a bit hard to see, but center vase is solid.
Also sentiment is a purple emboss.

JUGS Sketch #230

Wanted to play along with the JUGS sketch challenge, and
have 2 cards.

The first I wasn't thrilled with.
Liked the idea, just didn't like the result.

Too pale, no 'WOW', wanted to do more with the sketch shapes.

Take 2 came off better. Liked the contrast of colors and shapes.
