Perfect Pearls.

Waltzingmouse PJ Party: Bed Time Story

Bedtime Story

4th Challenge for the PJ Party is to use this sketch:

WM Little Darling stamps and Pram Die
You can play all night, in your pajamas!

Waltzingmouse PJ Party: Old Pajamas

Welcome to Challenge 3 of Waltzingmouse's PJ Party night!

This challenge? Old Pajamas!

Santa Clause is Coming to Town is not old to me, but I believe it's an older release.
It was on my wish list, and when Claire had a'Christmas Sale',
put it right in my cart!
That, and the Vintage Christmas Background behind it!
I carefully cut out a window, and created a shaker.

Waltzingmouse PJ Party: Too Cute to Spook

Too Cute to Spook!
Treats for the little ones!

Around a box of ghost peeps is a strip of vellum.
The edge of the Picot Panel frames and fit perfectly.
Must say, I loved how Claire topped her tags,
so I, too, fancied my Stitched Tags up a bit with the Picot Panel Die.
Stamped sentiment and candy from Candy Wagon.

Finished pops off with glossy accents.

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party: Doodle Do

Good evening Waltzingmouse fans!
Got your pjs on?

4 Challenges for us tonight.
1st Challenge: Doodle Do

Great Big Owl had my heart the moment I saw him!
Embossed in white and ink sponged with Tim Holtz Distressed inks.
Doodling part?
I used the branch as a starting point, and 'doodled' a wreath around the owl,
then went back and added silver gel pen.
Rather fun, and very therapeutic!

Paper Sweeties September Release Countdown

Hi there! And welcome to Paper Sweeties Countdown!
Tomorrow, the stamps you've seen will be available to you!

Today I'm featuring a new die set,
 called Sweet Cuts Fun Shapes.
This hexagon shape is one of the dies.

Made a quilt like pattern out of scrap, twine and buttons.
The sentiment is from one of the new stamp sets.
You're going to love the possibilities!
Remember, tomorrow's the day!

Merry Monday #125

We must use a vehicle or some sort of transportation
this week at Merry Monday's Christmas Card Challenge

I wish I had a cool candy apple red truck.
For real! Always wanted one!
Found an old rubber sleigh stamp in my non used stash drawer
which was not cool.
It took many stampings to get a clear stamped image,
and I had to fussy cut twice to get a red sleigh on a blue bg.
Loved the bright jewel like lights on the inspiration photo,
and needed to cover a really dated heart on the stamp.
Tree stamp from Hero Arts.
Lots of Stampendous ep
sentiment: Waltzingmouse
embossed wood frame.

NBUS Challenge #2

Darnell from djkardkreations challenges us to create
something with never before used 'schtuff'. (NBUS)
Isn't that just the greatest name for a challenge with a purpose?

Her challenge runs through the month,
with an anything goes theme
or
Christmas done one way
or two.

Had not used my Papertrey cuckoo from Tick Tock,
or
a Waltzingmouse Nordic Winter set ordered during Claire's Christmas sale.
Tick Tock is not a Christmas stamp set, but with a few tweaks
and the right sentiment (Rustic Wreath: PTI), it works.

This is NBUS #2,
be prepared for an onslaught of entrys.
Darnell always has a good story to tell
with fun and humor thrown in,
so settle back with a good beverage and enjoy your visit!
Once again, here's the address:

MIM #179: Emboss Resist Using Diecuts & Curtain Call - Lovely Leaves

Laura Bassen shows us how to create a background by
using our die cuts,
and emboss resisting them.

As families go, I am blessed with a large one.
I love using challenges to create the various cards I make
for each member of my family.
During the holiday season there are 9 birthdays, not to mention
anniversaries and other special events,
like Christmas!
This is a card I've made for a DIL, which always throws
me, as it comes just after Christmas.

Started with the Cover Plate: Center Stage.
Emboss resisted with white, using 4 inks to add color:
Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Spring Mist & Blueberry Sky.
The thin white frame is a piece saved from the Deco Frame Die.
The Leaves are Leaf Prints & die cut from Vellum.
Lots of fun embossing powders create the shimmer.
 Stylish Sentiments: Birthday
All mounted on Shimmer card stock.
One down, 8 to go!

Fusion Card Challenge: Old Door Charm

Old Door Charm is our theme at Fusion.
I had to go with the combo route, loved that picture,
and wanted to play with the sketch.
That's the fun of Fusion, choice and challenge!

Background created with a stamp from PTI's Fancy That
and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.
Bringing in the Fall colors and using a set of
Bountiful Sunflower dies from Poppy.
Lots of ink blending (Ranger Tim Holtz Distress),
Rainstones from PTI.
Sentiment: Triple cut Wet Paint Thanks die,
and PTI's Thank You Kindly stamp set.

Tag You're It! Challenge #5

Challenge 5 at Tag You're It! is this happy set from
the ultra talented Donna Mikasa

So many yummy bright elements to play with.

Began with a tag that just seemed to grow!
Anchored it to a card base, which would have been
simple, but had to cut out each bloom.

Tag is from Waltzingmouse,
Bottom embossed with musical, Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations,
and white sponge inked.

Tag created with PTI's Filled With Joy
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish
PTI Cardstocks and Inks
Card: Selective pieces from PTI's: Cover Plate: Center Stage

The Card Concept #18 - Back to School

It's Back to School at the Card Concept Challenge.

Mary Marsh's (DT) card caught my eye with her perfect placement of a ribbon and
sweet numbered chalkboard.
So I'm going with Classy and Elegant this time.

PTI provided the stamps and dies for my
chalkboard card.
Apple Prints & Back to School.
PTI cardstock, Zing EPs., Snow ink.
Even found an apple button and colored it with copics.

Merry Monday #124 Presents/Gifts!

Merry Monday's challenge this week was to use a present or gifts
on our card.

We're into September, and thinking holiday is
a welcome relief to our
warm dry weather.
I took inspiration from the rustic brown paper packages
tied with string!

Also love to get out my Melissa Phillips files,
and her layering with vellum!
Believe stamp set Santa, paper pieced.
Pencil colored robe, to mimic plaid.
Fuzzy glitter on whites.
Gifts are stamped, and colored with white gel, green copic (leaves), and red Stickles.
Double tree, bottom from In the Meadow, top from Believe
Looking at all the Christmas stash on my worktable just makes me happy!

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #25

If you love all things Waltzingmouse,
then you're known as a Waltzingmouse Fanatic.
And there's a challenge for us.

A sketch challenge, this time.

My card features the You're a Doll Stamp and Die sets.

Using the sketch, I stamped the floral image on the bottom and added Viva Kiwi pen to the centers.
Each doll image was embossed and added to a Spellbinders frame, which is clear embossed and selectively inked.
The top portion used the laurel stamp with Blueberry Viva pen, and Winter Wisteria ink (PTI).
I was in a hurry to post this card, as the challenge ends tomorrow, and smudged a bit of the Kiwi pen (lower right).
No time for do-overs, please forgive me!
Be sure to check Claire's blog for more Fanatics Challenges, especially if you too are
a Waltzingmouse fan, or fan-a-tic!

MIM #178: Easel Cards

MIM (that's Make It Monday folks),
with Erin Lincoln and easel cards.
So easy and fun!
Thank you Erin,
love this new take on chalkboard cards!

My chicks have all flown, but I love adapting the Back to School idea
for a greeting.

Very simple, sweet friend card,
using stamp sets Ooopsie Daisy and Be Happy.
Die cut easel feet with Mat Stack 3.
Love the thought of sending friends a 'hi there, thinking of you' card!

Thanks Erin!
