Project SAF 2015: Accessories Challenge

Maile's challenge is to decorate popsicle sticks.
We soaked and painted and stamped and deco paged
our bracelets like pros!
At least some of you did.
Mine are kind of sad.
But...
what a wonderful project when the granddaughters visit!

Red Carpet

The end of a beautiful weekend!
Red Carpet Challenge is the chance to strut out stuff!

All projects done!
What a weekend!
Loved every exhausting minute!
Kudos and Big Thanks to Nichole and the whole team at PTI
for the best ever Stamp-A-Faire.
From the music to the videos, to the dressed up designers,
and their incredible talent,
to my stamping buds projects,
INCREDIBLE!
Now to clean up!

I know I should start cleaning, but I just want to make more...

Project Stamp-A-Faire Threads Challenge

Another card with twine techniques Danielle showed us.
Doing a bunch of these for fall with Quilted Autumn set.
*LOVE*!!!

The patterns are stamps, not pattern paper... the possibilities are endless.
I added the rustic twine nest at the end, and a pearl in the
middle of the leaf as Melissa had on her card here:

Project Stamp-A-Faire Make It Work!

Make It Work!

Our last challenge is to do a re-do, with what's left over.
Funny this should be the last thing to create, or re-create.
Just so happens, I have a card done for the last challenge, Runway,
that just didn't jel.
Well it was late, and rushing to finish, and, you know...

Completely unacceptable!
So I started over, and did another card.

Simple, and I love that sentiment by Tim Gunn!
It's always been my motto, actually think he stole it from me...
Sometimes you just have to 'make it work'!
Still used Center Style: Feminine, but gold edged it, and
used the stamps from Fashion Sense.
Leaves from Branching Out.
Wink of Stella here and there.
PTI card stocks and Vellum.

Much better!

Project Stamp-A-Faire Runway Challenge

This has to be my favorite of all the challenges,
Runway!
All those gorgeous gowns, and the projects from the design team, WOW!
I chose Dawn's gown, and just look at her card!

The gown, and how she described it was amazing, right down to
the slim green belt!

Decided to go with Coverplate: In the Woods.

First watercolored a piece of Linen card stock before die cutting the woodsy die,
also inked a bit for intensity.
My 'belt' sentiment is from Love and Marriage.
Vellum pocket holds some sequins, and added Bitty Blooms at the end.
Wink of Stella gives is some sheen like the dress.

Zing Embossing Powders

Project Stamp-A-Faire Unconventional Materials Challenge

Unconventional Materials Challenge!

Since we HAVE a hardware store in hubby's garage, I skipped
the trip, and went into said garage, and picked up some interesting
looking items.
Settled on various sandpapers, and a strip of brads for a nail gun.

I was a bit apprehensive about cutting the sandpaper with my precious PTI dies,
but all went well and I constructed the wreath, flowers and leaves from
grits of sandpaper. Yes, one actually comes in blue!
Sentiment: Scripted.
Other: Moss

Stamp-A-Faire 2015: Mix + Match Challenge

Mix + Match Challenge!

Betsy has provided beautiful coordinating papers for this challenge.

I picked 3 from her suggestions, and added a sentiment from Swoosh,
and a few die cuts from Beautiful Brushstrokes.

PapertreyInk Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015

Stamp-A-Faire 2015!

Welcome to Project Stamp-A-Faire,
where our challenges have a fashion flair!

The night before the big event has us altering a t-shirt
So much fun deliberately messing, uh, altering my shirt.

Started by creating stencils with dies from Delightful Details.
Sprayed with several blue sprays. (That's my hairdryer speeding things up!)

Added butterflies from Life is Beautiful,
cut from fabric scraps.

Lots of PTI felt flowers from my stash, sewn with beads and sequins.
Then added strips of tulle. Sort of looks like the trails of butterflies.

Seriously? The hardest part is not cracking up while my DH snapped
pictures of his wife trying to pose!
It doesn't help help when he tells you, 'now suck it all in!'

Well it all starts tomorrow morning, and I can't wait!
A trip down the Runway!

My little man, Shepherd.
Sorry girls, he's taken!

MIM #222: Die Cut Kissing

MIM with Betsy this week, shows us 'Die Cut Kissing'.

Delightful Details die gave me the image to 'kiss' onto the largest flower
in Friendly Flowers.
My first try was with yellows and oranges, hence the darker, more colorful doily.
Too pretty to toss, so used it anyway!

Inks: Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Classic Kraft,
Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist.
Learn this technique on Nichole's blog, here:
