MIM #111 Watercoloring Embossed Images
Heather Nichols shows us how to create our own background papers and embossed images with this week's MIM at Papertrey.
She watercolors with inks and very handy water brush I will definitely pick up on the next trip to Michael's!
I loved her layout and scalloped border, using the heart border die.
My version uses The Strawberry Patch stamps and dies.
Waiting for Pure Poppy Inks to be back in the PTI lineup, but it is possible to achieve a strawberry color using Berry Sorbet and Scarlett Jewel.
Leaves are first stamp embossed with white, then ink painted with Spring Moss and New Leaf.
Strawberry arrangement on a Seed Packet die.
Heather stamped embossed her background paper as well, so had to give that a try.
The Strawberry Patch stamp set has a leaf stamp which I versamarked and then embossed with white.
Painted the paper with watered down mix of Harvest Gold and Berry Sorbet. The leaves are a light coat of Spring Moss. A few accents of twine, tag, tiny strawberry flowers, and a few chartreuse
enamel dots and done. PTI cardstock, background plaid: Secret Garden.
