MIM #183: Dry Embossing Over Heat Embossing

Happy Monday!
And Happy MIM with Dawn at PapertreyInk!

This technique is really very simple, and packs a wow punch to your cards!

Finishing up the Halloween cards for the grandkids +
some children of friends.
This was a perfect set of tools for quick cards.

After embossing the ghosts and sentiment,
dry embossed Horizontal Stripes (yes, Horizontal!) to mimic a fence.
Partially cutout the top ghost so the ghost border would fit behind him.
Embossed (with Zing) 2 more borders to look like crime tape.
(Think I watch too many murder mysteries!)
All onto Orange Zest leafy Pattern Paper.
Lots of rainstones sprinkled about.
Thank You Dawn, as always, love every moment watching and learning from you!

Happy Spooky Halloween & Haunted Borders

  10. Fabulous card, Nancy, just the way I like my Halloween. It's fun and colorful without being scary. That embossed crime tape is the perfect touch. I am in awe at how you can turn out such wonderfully designed cards in such a short period of time.
