It's not Monday, but it's a MIM post!
Betsy takes the helm at PTI for a fab bunch of how to's
for this technique.
"Smooshing"
I LOVE the new set, Easter Alleluias!
Beautiful scripted messages and beautifully shaped verses.
I used just the word 'Alleluia', inked with my new MISTI (thank you Marybeth!)
I chose the new linen paper for a bit of texture (love the look with watercolors!),
and inked the plastic with Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Limeaid Ice, and Hawaiian Shores.
The purple corner (Plum Pudding) was an afterthought, but I liked it with the colors
framing the egg.
First time using the gorgeous Etched Easter Eggs.
Definitely not putting them away!

What a very beautiful Easter card, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter card is gorgeous, Nancy! I just love the mix of colors you 'smooshed' for the background. The white Etched Eggs and scattered sequins are the perfect finishing touch to that beautiful sentiment!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I love your bright, bold yellow... it certainly spring like!
ReplyDeleteNancy, this is so beautiful! I love the texture of the linen paper coming through the smooshing. I must try it on that paper. I've been enjoying Easter Alleluias as well.
ReplyDeleteYour background looks like a Spring explosion and I absolutely love how it looks on the linen cardstock...beautiful, beautiful background Nancy! And of course the gold embossed Alleluia and the die cut eggs are just perfect for this card...a real work of art! :0)
ReplyDeleteOops!! Your Alleluia isn't gold embossed...obviously TOO early to be commenting!! But it's still beautiful!! :0)
ReplyDeletehey Nancy I love your card, so pretty.x
ReplyDeleteI love this card, Nancy! Those colors seem to spring forth singing Alleluia! He is Risen!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning! I love everything about it! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteLovely card Nancy.
ReplyDeleteWonderful smooshing! I can see the added texture the linen paper gives, so I just may have to break down and get some. I love the sentiment combined with the egg dies! Something I could give to my non-Christian family members, perhaps... Hmmmm, you've got me thinking ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors that say Alleluia! Beautiful!
