The Flower Challenge #71 Circle/Circles Reminder

Hello! It's reminder time at the Flower Challenge.

This month it's Circle/Circles. Use a circle with your card.

The circle on this card is cut with 2 sizes of circles (Memory Box), which
forms a frame. It hi lights the clear embossed print of the stamped image
(The Greetery). I added a bit of white pencil to the framed part of the
stamped image, and glued on some sparkly bits.

The beautiful rose is Altenew's, and the outside frame is The Greetery's.

The card is a special one made for our granddaughter, Karly, just married.

Forever Together

Good morning Card Concept fans, and welcome to this gorgeous
romantic inspiration!

Gorgeous, right? I really zoned in on the solid red bouquet.

Perfect chance to play with my new Concord & 9th, Petals & Pallets stamps and dies.
the pallet die allows you to pop it up, or lay it flat. So many options!
And all the blooms and leaves are included in this lovely set!
I first white embossed my sentiment before stamping with Hero Arts, Wet Cement.
The black dots in the flower centers are tiny pearls.
Just a bit of elegance to my Clean and Layered card.

Come play along on the Card Concept Challenge blog.
And be sure to tell us what inspired you!

Let the Bliss Begin

Playing along with Inspired by All the Little Things,
and this photo:

It was the perfect opportunity to compose a wedding card
with SSS's June card kit.

The stamp set is called Floral Bliss.
The dp, from Echo Park: Wedding Bliss
I clear embossed the image on PTI's True Black card stock,
and watercolored with Finetec Mica Pearls.
Honestly, LOVE how the colors come alive on dark card stock.
Added a strip of glitter paper, popped the panel up with foam,
stamped the sentiments and buds on a branch, then painted them.
Lastly covered my stamped image before splattering the mica paint.
A wedding card just begs for bling, so rhinestones it is!

I blew up this photo so you can see the mica shinning through the colors,
and the coverage is fantastic!

The colors also blend beautifully on either dark or light surfaces.
As you can see, I'm a fan!

Bride & Groom

Hello Card Concept fans! It's time for a new challenge,
and we have this inspiration photo as inspiration:

So much to choose from, right?
I focused on the pink & gold, together with the ampersand symbol
for my Classy Elegant card.

I started with Betsy Veldman's Luxe Letterpress set from PTI,
and combined the blooms from PTI's Gran's Garden.
Can't wait to see what inspires you.
Play for 2 weeks on the Card Concept Blog.

Congratulations

Altenew has a themed challenge for July, Weddings
and this color filled inspiration photo

Altenew's florals are so striking, and embossed in gold, as in Yana's
gorgeous card, even more spectacular!
Just perfect for a wedding card!
The problem is, picking one set over another.

Hadn't used their Lotus stamps and dies yet, so
they became my focus for a 'watery' card.
Sponge inked and water splattered bg, in
Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn (Ranger Distress inks).

PTI's Circle Scribbles cut from gold mirror card stock,
sort of resembles water ripples.
Zig watercolor pens: Light Carmine, Pink & Wine red for the lotus blossoms.
Light Green & May Green for the lotus leaves.
A few sequins on my water, and card panel onto a
gold and kraft stripe cardstock.

One of the things I asked my husband for, was a Koi pond,
25 years ago when we moved to the country.
These beautiful blooms open with the sun, and close at night.
Wish I could have included a koi or 2, but they were shy when I
took the photo.

PTI June Blog Hop & SSS Wednesday Anything Goes

We're blog hopping on Nichole's blog today at PTI.
Here's the inspiration Nichole gave us:

Dreamy little shoes, bold
smokey grey & cream stripe with floral detailing.
Look carefully, inside the baby shoes, the sweet scrolled frame with the maker's name
caught my eye!

Wedding card? Engagement?
Selectively cut Delightful details into Fine Linen card stock,
sponge inked Smokey shadow on masked stripes.
Make It Market Mini: Garden Gild - Sentiment
Filled With Joy - a Stamp-A-Faire exclusive: Ferns & flower.
Orange Zest & Terracotta Tile Inks. (PTI)
Wet Cement Ink: Hero Arts
At the last minute I tucked in a few silver leaves from Garden Gild.
A peek inside,

And all ready to send!

Can't wait to see everyone's take on this one!
Enjoy the hop!

MIM #201

Laurie has a video on Nichole Heady's blog, showing us
how to use our cover plates as stencils this week
for Make It Monday.

I have a silver Wendy Vecchi embossing paste I've never used
so it was the perfect opportunity to break it out.

Just thought wedding as the paste was drying.
So out came the bride and groom from Man & Wife!

Cover Plate: Diagonal Stripe
Dies: Man & Wife, Garden Grace, Mat Stack 4 (used them both to create the frame, cut 3 times)
Stamps: Garden Grace, Keep It Simple: Wedding
Inks: Soft Stone, Hero Arts: Wet Cement, Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose
Cardstock: Shimmers, Soft Stone, Stamper's Select White.

the Card Concept #16: Create a Wedding Card

The challenge at the Card Concept this week is to create a wedding card,
using this photo as inspiration:

Tweeking the colors a bit to use all 3 of Betsy Veldman's floral and leaf stamps
in her Beautiful Brushstrokes set,
I went with a watercolor look.

Spritzed my stamp image, when inked, and added rainstones from the
Make It Market Kit: Shakers and Sprinkles
(Use those jewel-like drops sparingly 'cuz I never want to be without them!)

All PTI products (inks, card stocks, and Hemp Cord)

Classy & Elegant?
Inspired by colors in the photo and Colleen's dramatic hydrangea card!
