PTI July Blog hop

Blog Hop time at Papertrey, and Nichole has
challenged us with this photo:

"Colors, layout, touches of gilded gold, as well as the distressed wall..."
All my PTI butterfly sets covered my worktable,
but had to go with a favorite, Life Is Beautiful.

I loved the British Campaign feel, and tried for that look.
With help from the fab designers at PTI, and lessons from MIM, came my card.
(Can you pick out who taught us what?)
Hands of Time stamped in gold on an ombre of Sweet Blush and Autumn Rose.
Background Basics: Farm & Barn, stamped with Classic Kraft, spritzed with water,
and then stamped off. Die cut hole with Spellbinders circle die.
PTI Autumn Rose & Simply Jane pattern papers, (gold embossed dipped)
Songbirds leaves in Ocean Tides & Vellum card stocks.
Gold 'string bling' and Lawn Fawn metallic sequins.

What to do with all the leftover butterflies?
Make butterfly winged tags! (Thank you Melissa Phillips!)

Did a wallpaper from the blooms of Betsy's Nostalgic Notions

Flowers were stamped in Soft Stone, watercolored, then the edges were sponge inked.

Love having tags on hand for all ocassions!

And Love seeing all my blog friends' creations!
You always find endless inspiration!

...and then my PTI order came!

With inspiration from Dawn's gorgeous blooms on PTI's Facebook,
and Melissa's teacup of flowers,
I made a birthday card.

Besides, had to do a special birthday card for one of our own celebrating her's
in August. Her Initials are MBL! Know who I mean?

Happy Hopping!

Stamps: Vintage Linens
Cardstock: PTI Vintage Linens Patterned Paper Collection
White, Aqua Mist
Dies: Triangle Trio, Fancy Teacup
Other: Rainstones, White Embossing Powder,
Windsor Newton Watercolor pens.

  19. Oh, what an amazing post with so much eye candy! Love your PTI project--so elegant and intricately beautiful. Funny that we used the same stamp set, and yet our cards could not be more different. I could not think to add all the details that you used so perfectly. Each time I look, there is something new to see. And, then those yummy tags, and then those water colored flowers--I can not wait to try to make some of those myself. Just need a moment to break into my new PTI box.
