MIM, is with Stephanie Gold, one of PTI's new designers.
She expertly shows us a striking technique of creating
window chipboard sentiments.
I did my 'Hello' with some pattern card stock I had,
glued it to a black foam board,
and die cut my window.
So nice to use Ruby Rose, hadn't inked that set in a while.
Did a bit of masking to add leaves and bottom posie.
Inside the card
The card and matching envelope.
I've been doing envelopes from PTI's matching pattern card stock,
and loving how they turn out! A bit sturdier than regular envelopes,
and that way hide the bumps and bling on the cards.
edited to add: the envelope was created by a punch board tool
by We R Memory Keepers. Here's the link on Amazon.
It's a real 'must have' if you like making your own!
Pattern cardstock on the top of the sentiment? That's brilliant, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card...love your pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty!! I haven't watched the video yet, but from what I can tell you nailed this Nancy. Love the colors and the pretty blooms Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteDang, how clever is that design?! You rocked it, Nancy! I'm pinning your version!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the video for this yet but your card is amazing as always Nancy! Such a great idea to give Ruby Rose some love. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove this card - Ruby Rose is one of my favorites! Just a tip (not a criticism) because I did the same thing - the large leaf should be stamped with the pointed end in. I (and lots of others were stamping with the point out, but then I noticed that Dawn always (as far as I can tell) stamps with the point in. Makes sense once you look at it, especially since the small ones are that way!
ReplyDeleteLove that you chose a patterned paper for the sentiment. This is an absolutely wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteNice technique using the patterned paper and foam! Absolutely love your spring colors as I face another rainy day. Thanks for using an older set too as I look over my "PTI local store". :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. I love the pattern card stock used on the die cut sentiment. It goes so well with the colors of the flowers. Gives me that 60's hippy vibe!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!!!! Nice job!!! Xo!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Nancy. Love the patterned paper sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, and in such a lovely colour combo. Good tip about the envelopes also - I like that you use the white side out. Not sure I would ever have thought of that! :)

And of course your patterned paper die cut is the show stopper...LOVE it!! This card and envelope will surely brighten someone's day...lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Nancy. Do you use a die for the inside of the envelope or cut it yourself?
ReplyDeleteI love matching up the envelope!!
Hi Jennifer, not a die, but a tool by We R Memory Keepers: 1-2-3-Punch. It's a real 'must have'. Cuts and scores envelopes of all sizes, bows and boxes. Think I'll edit my post and mention it.
