Hi there! I'm playing along with a new challenge (to me), called Double D.
I found it while visiting my friend Birgit Norton's blog. She's on their design team.
The theme is 'Leaves'.
Thankful for the Greetery's new release, and this awe inspired sentiment, 'Grace Upon Grace'.
I chose an oldie from the Greetery to accent my sentiment, Autumn Sketches. It's a 4 step
stamp. I wanted the actual leaves to have a watery effect, so I sponge daubed the stamp
while still in the Misti before stamping. That way I could blend my colors rather randomly.
The challenge run for 2 weeks, check it out here:
Oh Nancy this is just gorgeous!!! I'm SO HAPPY you have found us and hope you'll join us every chance you get!! Love the sentiment and you've showcased it perfectly!!! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Leaves’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful creation! Love your faux water color technique, really lets the fall foliage shine! Fantastic sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Double D, Leaves Challenge. Donna, DT Member.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely GORGEOUS card Nancy!! I just used this same stamp set for the previous Color Hues challenge and had so much fun playing with it...need to revisit these older stamp sets more!! Love how you got the multiple colors on your leaves using the sponge daubers, and isn't that Grace upon Grace sentiment the absolute best?!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hope all is well...miss you!! Hugs. :0)
