The Card Concept: Travel Abroad or Stay At Home

Hi Folks! It's time for a new post at the Card Concept, and we have 2 choices to
inspire you, Travel Abroad or Stay at Home. You can choose.

I zoned in on the globe and knew what stamp set I was going to use.
It's an oldie from Concord & 9th called Globe Greetings.

I have a recipient for this card. My DIL is a geography teacher, and she really is,
The World's Best Teacher.

T

The stack of books is from PTI: Glorious Globes Basics, and the gorgeous leaf is
The Greetery's Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf.

The tiny blossoms are also from the Greetery: Botanicuts: Apple.

Sorry I don't know what stencil I used for the background. If you know,
I'd love to know the name. I found the panel in my stash, and loved the design with the
globe. Inked in gray,  it gave off vintage vibes.

Play along for 2 weeks, and be sure to mention what style you used, and don't
forget to add our inspiration photo to your post.

I call this card, Vintage Layered. (a term I made up, perfectly acceptable, btw!)

Give Thanks

Hi there! Hope it's a lovely autumn day you're enjoying!
I'm playing along with the gals at Just Us Girls today, with
this photo inspiration:

Fall is everywhere in this dreamy photo. Leaves of color, and
a truck on a journey left to the imagination.

I couldn't wait to ink up the new Glorious Globes: August, with the encircling fall
leaves, and pair with Seasonal Borders: August, both from PTI.

I kept it close to the colors of the photo, all traditional and warm.
Also cut into the card base with the Seasonal Border die.

The challenge runs through Saturday and there's lots of inspiration on
their blog!

The Card Concept Challenge: Inspiration on Wheels

Hi there! It's time for a new challenge at the Card Concept, and today it's
this photo: Inspiration on Wheels

I love to layer, and my card just screams layers!
I cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock down to 3 3/4"x 5',
stamped it with PTI's Text & Texture Roses, and then Background Basics: Sheet Music.
My bicycle is PTI: Petal Pushers, and it's all mounted on PTI's Noted A2 Scalloped
Vertical die .

Pick a style from Card Concept's list or mix and match one of your own.
Remember you have 2 weeks to play, and winner is asked to be our Guest Designer!

All PTI products are linked to their shop.
Just click on the item you'd like to purchase.

Oh, the Places You'll go!

'Create Along With Us' time at PapertreyInk, and this beauty by
Dawn McVey inspired my card:

There is never an easy choice when choosing which designer's gorgeous creation
to case. But in Dawn's case, it was made easy with the choice of her colors,
layout, globe and corner die.

The moment I saw her Glorious Globe I knew I wanted to use it on a graduation
card. Actually 6 graduation cards!
This is the year for grads in our family. And with the exception of a niece, I
needed 5 for boys. So I switched up a few things, like color.

My 'Corner Adorner' is a Memory Clip die cut with some treated paper I had
on hand. 3 tickets and a congrats die complete the 'adorder'

I love that the globe and tickets convey that life is just beginning for the graduate,
 wishing them endless possibilities!
1 down, 5 to go!

Happy Crafting!

If you see something on my card you'd like, my links are an affiliate of PapertreyInk,
and I'd love it if you'd order off my blog!
Thank You!
And thank you, Dawn. It's so nice to see you back designing your beautiful cards again!
