Strawberry Jam

How y'all doing? Well and safe, I hope!
I recently received a driveby gift of homemade Strawberry Jam from a friend, and thought
I'd repay with some homemade tags she could add to the next batch. Our valley has
fresh, ripe delicious strawberries, April through August, and then again October
through Christmas!

I used several stamp and die sets from different companies, Concord & 9th,
PTI, MFT and Elizabeth Crafts.

I've saved dozens of stamp containers from PTI over the years, and love them
for repurposing.

The super big berry tag from C9 says it all!

I loved how PapertreyInk included so many sweet details in their Strawberry
Patch set.

The MFT tag has a couple of 'awnings' you can add to the top.

Well that's all for now, I seem to be craving a bagel with cream cheese and
strawberry jam... homemade of course. And then it's off to do a driveby...

Have a wonderful week!

Supplies:
PapertreyInk: Strawberry Patch, Strawberry Patch Sentiments,
Background Basics: Super Gingham, Garden Variety 1 & 2, Canned,
TagSale: Quilted

Concord & 9th: Sweet Strawberries

MFT: Treat Tag

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Strawberries

All inks: Altenew

12 Kits of Occasions December 2016 -

We're at the end of 2016, almost New Year's Eve,
and we're posting a day early at 12 Kits,
with this striking array of papers and die cuts, and
adorable accents from Jessica Davis (The Paper Parade)

Here's the first of 5, hope you enjoy!

Shaking it up with this one. Added some gold foil leaves from PTI.

Jessica included this sweet arrow and sequins.

Some of the papers were foiled. Love the elegant feel!

Had to add a heart to match this sentiment.

And last is this die cut I colored with copics. Her brim and pom got a touch of
Neon Amplify, and the goggles Glossy Accents.
The bg is watercolored then stenciled with 'snow'. (Embossing paste)

Well that's it, hope you enjoyed.

A big Thank You to Jessica!
I have so many beautiful designer papers left over,
not to mention a trio of Yeti characters.
Can't wait to see what my teammies did!
 Happy, healthy New Year!

12 Kits of Occasions October '16: Let's Be Thankful

Good morning and welcome to 12 Kits of Occasions,
a day earlier than usual. We usually post the last day of the month,
but tomorrow being Halloween, we are coming to you on the 30th.
'Let's Be Thankful' is our theme this month, with a super sweet kit
full of a variety of stamps and dies from
our hostess, Michele Ferguson.

I send out as many thank you cards as birthdays, so
I welcomed Michele's lovely papers, die cuts, ribbon, pearls, sequins, and
even a laser wood cut butterfly.
Well, just look at Lindsey's beautiful photo of all our goodies in the photo above!

Hope you enjoy my cards, I loved making them!
Thank you Michele. The first card was done with you in mind,
knowing your love of butterflies!

So many gorgeous papers

2 sets of these die cut leaves. Used them on this card.

Used my zigs on this die cut.

Michele included some printed doilies, which I put under this dual fold card.
She gave us pearls I copic colored.

So easy to just add the 'thanks' die cut to these coordinated designer papers.

A shaker with some of the sequins

Copic colored this kitty, and created a tag attached to a polka dot bag
Michele gave us in the kit.

Thank you for the visit.
You won't want to miss the other designers, and see what
they all did with Michele's wonderful kit!
And we have a talented guest too, Leanne Pugliese.

So Thankful

Good Saturday Morning!
Thought I'd share some cards I made using my new Paper Clippings die
from PapertreyInk.
I fell in love with the sweet bold sentiment that says it all!

Yesterday was my day to play in the craft room.
Don't you love days where all the time is yours?

Did a bunch of colorful backgrounds with Ken Oliver's Color Bursts.

Have you tried them?
Powdery form coming out, and with a spritz of water, the color explodes!
(Better have a box handy, to contain the explosion!)
I used watercolor card stock, let it dry thoroughly, then die cut
my image.

You really never know what you're going to get as far as color placement,
but you do have a bit of leeway when placing your die to cut.
And that's the fun!

This explosion of color had to have a black bg!
You might notice, each of the die cuts is backed with a
contrasting color. You don't have to double up, but I like the effect
and stability doubling the cut gives.

This blue with green I left intact and just added my die cut in white.

So many left over, for more projects!

All cardstocks (with the exception of the watercolor card stock) PTI.
PTI: Autumn Abundance & Twig Wreath Pattern Paper.
Cardstocks: PTI Kraft, Stormy Sea & Terracotta Clay.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hope it's crafty!

Entering middle card with The Card Concept's Rainbow Connection.
Going with Classy Elegant.

PTI May Blog Hop

It's May 25, and time for PTI's Blog Hop!

Hope you have a cup of your favorite, and are snuggled somewhere comfy,
I have a lot to show you.

1st of all, Nichole's inspiration:

Endless inspiration, right?
Color, confetti, ombre, square shape, graphic style... endless!

Initially I went with blocks of color, and the mosaics die from the Ancient Rome set
in Stamp-A-Faire '14. Haven't seen this set since last summer!

Lizzie showed us how to use the die to create a stencil.
Re-inkers colored translucent Wendy Vecchi embossing paste.

So much fun revisiting this Stamp-A-Faire set!
What would it look like in warm colors?

Thank You from: Thank You Kindly,
gold scribble die cut from: Circle Scribbles.

Oh that was fun, but, um, there's more.
Next card done in pastels,
and cascading color.

Clear embossed the butterflies first, then sponge inked the bg colors.
Die cut and embossed the smaller butterfly from: Make It Market You Are a Masterpiece

Double Ended Banner, Thank Your from: Topiary Trio.
That fun ombred side panel paper also from MIM: You're a Masterpiece.

And then my PTI order came!

Couldn't wait to play with Make It Market: Garden Gild.

With watercolor paper, and watercolors, ombred a full sheet, before die cutting the cover plate,
(use a shim!). Then watercolored a background to place the top and bottom corners,
which were cut away from the rim.

Just had to see what that gorgeous cover plate looked like
die cut in white.

This time on an inked bg.

Are you still with me?

Just one more!

Feather Finery embossed in gold (dots in silver),
Thank You: Thank You Kindly,
gold stripe bottom from: Gold Luxe Foil Pattern Paper

If you've stayed with me through all 6 cards,
I wish I had a medal to give you!
We who play each month love seeing the creativity and LOVE
being inspired by each other, (don't we?)
I'm off to visit all the other entrys.
Have a wonderful, restful Memorial Day,
and don't forget to thank God for all those who made this
day of enjoying our freedom possible!
Hugs!

12 Kits of Occasions, Sept. 2014Use your leftovers & Tag You're It Challenge #7

Posting a couple of cards for 12 kits of  Occasions,
using our leftovers.
As a guest back in April, Jeanne Jackna sent out a treasure trove
of goodies, most of which I've used over the months.
Did have this beautiful script, floral paper, and frame,
made it into a shaker.

The paper and ribbon was also leftovers from her box.

This was a die cut, sent in the card stock.

What to do with the actual die cut?

Simply showcased fern.

I loved being invited by this group of uber talented designers,
and enjoyed playing with all the fun fancies Jeanne included!
To see all the goodies over the months,
make a visit to Kara's blog,

She takes you through the year with pictures!
