MIM #132

Dawn McVey shows us how to get miles from multiple die cut borders.
Love my border dies, and had this idea to use the rick rack border in a weave.
Do I like the end result. Not really. Too busy, I think.
Love the technique though, and will use it again.
Getting the halloween cards done. Will do 10, one for each grandchild, this one's scratch & sniff.
When you scratch the yellow pumpkin, pumpkin spice and ginger!

  3. How creative Nancy! I LOVE the woven paper rick-rack. I'm not sure it's too fussy. It seems the contrast of the white background for the pumpkins might be a bit much. Perhaps if it were cream (like some of your rick-rack?), it might look a bit more "together"? (I'm really not good at assessing what makes something work, or my cards would be much better than they are!) This card is fabulous, and you can send me one of your cards any ole time you like. ;>
Thanks for sharing you talented artist!

  4. Oh ..so ..this is the card you were talking about ,not the tree card. I love the bright pumpkins on your card and they do stand out. I will be honest it's busy but it's a Halloween card full of fun so it's just perfect for that. Love the different shades do orange sequins you added. I do smile when I look at this fun card!

  5. Oh gosh, Nancy. You already have the dies for the pumpkins! :-) My order is still on it`s way over the ocean.... I just love the colors you chose for your card. You really have the `creative eye´, ha! I think it takes me hours and hours just to decide on the color of my cardbase (sigh).
Super pretty card, Nancy! (if I had the dies already I´d case it ;-) as I have 25 Invitation cards to make). Well - no dies - gotta get creative myself again I guess!

  11. The weave gives the halloween card a certain disturbing scariness with the hallucinating contrasting waves. A very creative card.
