MFW's Holiday Home Decor Challenge

Moxie Fab World is getting us ready for a busy holiday by several challenges.
Years ago I made tussle mussies for a growing family, until I was muchly blessed with
so many!
Thought this challenge was a way to bring back a handmade ornament popular in Victorian times.
Mine is a peek-a-boo tussie mussie
Started with PTI's Limeaid Ice card stock, and stamped it with Peaceful Pinecones.
Die cut framed out #7 in cork, hand cutting the window in the TM on both sides.
The cork was then misted with a handmade chocolate glaze and applied to a weighter coaster stock.
Just didn't have enough 'stiffness' by itself.
Hung a frosted bell in the window,
closed up the box, and decorated both front and back and top.
Just had to add some of my backyard's 'trash' to the piece! (Sweet little pinecones
are everywhere right now)
I can e-mail a sketch of the pattern, if you'd like.
It's hand cut and scored to fold.
PTI felt die cut from Mistletoe and Holly
Want to play?
Better hurry, challenge ends tomorrow! (9/2).

  1. This is absolutely fabulous. I love the colors and what a creative twist with adding the peek-a-boo element!

  2. Hey Nancy! Thanks for linking this up to the Holiday Home Decor Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
