Waltzingmouse March PJ Party

Hi and welcome to the March Pajama Party at Waltzingmouse Stamps!

That's right, no dress code required, just the most comfy pi's and hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Challenge 1 - To Die For
My new order with all the fun new dies just arrived yesterday, a bit late to play with for the challenge but I love and use often the Fine Feathers stamps and dies.

Card 1: For You

Silver embossed background
Vellum sentiment strip from the gorgeous scripted freebee I was sent with my first order with WM.
(I think I was a bit too generous with the sequins and seed beads, something I need to work on!)

Card 2: For You

Created the stenciled bg with hand mixed paste and a Cheery Lynn doily.
Used a glittered doily under the die cut feathers.

This double embossed For You from Folk Art Medalion

Challenge 2: St. Patrick's Day Charm

Sweet Claire provided us with St. Patty's downloads, which is what I used for my
cards.

Card 1: Wee Miss

A darlin' lass antiqued with ep then crackled and ink stained (thank you Heather Nichols!)
Background check from WM's Pinstripe, vertical then stamped horizontal.
Had to add the charm!

Card 2: With Love

Another download included this bouquet of shamrocks.
Copic colored and clear embossed.
Corner posies from Folk Art Medallion
'charm' tag' from WM's Opera Tags
Cheery Lynn doily die
Vintage lace, emerald baker's twine, rhinestones and pearls
Molly the pin cushion half doll just wouldn't stay out of the photo!
(She's such a hussy!)

Clallenge 3: What Would Mother Do

My mother? Honestly could do anything she put her mind to!
She ran my dad's business in the early years, sewed matching clothes for my sister and I,
ran a horse and fruit tree ranch and was blessed with red hair and 'Rose' for a middle name.
Along the white fence of said ranch my dad planted 270 rose bushes in honor of his 'Rose'.
Clovis Ave. was a busy highway, but that didn't stop people from picking a few roses or snapping some pictures.

Generation stamped card from Simple Sprig.

Have a great night!
Think I'll  play with those new dies!

Seriously, Molly!

  1. Wow, Nancy - these are amazing creations. Your green and gold feather card is AMAZING...such a stunning color combination. I'm smitten with your vintage St. Paddy's Day card - the cracked glass technique adds to its beauty, and your shamrock card is so beautifully colored, which makes it look so realistic. Awesome job with all of these creations!

  4. I don't even know what to say. These are incredible. I thought they were the inspiration until I looked closer...as if vintage pieces were posted to inspire you to create something. Except yours WERE those pieces. Absolutely gorgeous. The feathers look real. Your use of lace and twine and embellishments always throws it over the edge. No one has an eye like you.

Don't you just love stenciling?! You really captured vintage perfectly on your St. Patrick's Day card. But I have to say, your last card is my favorite - love the story about your mom.
