Heart a'glow

Sharing the latest and last of my Valentines today, this one with The Greetery's
Hearts at Home Lightbulbs die.
Betsy is so clever with her whimical symbols. followed her
lead with making a shaker from my lightbulbs.

Used an old ef and some valentine paper for the bottom strip. The xoxo is from
Reverse Confetti.

Have a wonderful crafty week!

Poppin' Up to Say...

It's the season of Love, and I have a couple of Valentines made with The
Greetery's newest release, Have a Heart.

The Toaster was an immediate favorite during the release. So classic, with all it's
pieces to personalize with color, a vintage sweetheart!

I cut the pieces for the toaster in red and silver mirror card stock. That gave me 2
toasters. The toast was cut from ivory and Kraft, and then 'toasted' with Vintage
Photo DOI.
Look carefully and you'll see I die cut another piece of the toaster from black
cardstock, to give it a sort of shadow.

The sentiments were embossed with Ranger's Distress Barn Door, the BEST red
embossing powder ever! And believe me I have several reds. It's so fine, and has
a slight sheen. Really love it!
Backgrounds are also Greetery: Window Pane Plaid stamped with Ranger's
Barn door onto red cardstock. And Ribbon Maker Hearts die cut from Vellum, and
stenciled onto pale pink cardstock.

Happy Valentines everyone! Thanks for visiting!

Valentines

It's almost Valentine's Day, and I've been playing with some beautiful foiled paper
by Rinea. If you're not familiar with the product, it's either starstruck pattern or
double sided foiled paper and comes in a pack.
It embosses in a folder beautifully, and cuts easily in a die. The solid colors are
double sided and react with a pad they call 'Ghost Ink'. I found some very
helpful instruction on YouTube.

This card was cut with Memory Box: Ferrand Heart, a favorite from a few year's
back. The background is watercolored with a new paper from Poppystamps.

The second card uses Rinea papers too, the silver heart die cut & embossed, and
the red first stamped with ghost ink, then die cut. Also a watercolored background.

I couldn't wait to use this new product (new to me), and love it! I've already got plans
to make some Easter cards with some of the gorgeous colors they have.

Thanks for the visit, hope you enjoyed!

Valentines

Hello there. Getting close to Valentines, and had some time to play with Betsy's
February release, and all the great new stamps and dies that came with my order.

I followed Dawn McVey's lead with my double background stamping and
angling the plaid stamp. Couldn't resist also double stamping the envelope flaps.

One card with red interior and sweet heart seal,

And one with double envelopes and messages and a postage stamp.
I LOVE these sets. I understand some of them sold out, but if I were
you, I'd add them to my collection when they're restocked. I already
have plans for Easter cards, using the florals and envelopes for my
holiday cards.

The first card I made with the Ribbon Words, a birthday card.

And this one made with Poppystamps Heart Plate, used as a stencil.
The frame was made by cutting the 2 Postal frames at the same time.

L-O-V-E

It's time for another challenge at the Card Concept, and here's the
inspiration photo:

Pure Valentine, and that was my inspiration. Along with red & white and
black (grey) & white.

Perfect excuse to try out the new Stitched Turnabout from Concord & 9th!

I stamped the image all 4 times with PTI's Weathervane. The circle behind the heart is
also stamped with the center image 4 times.
The heart is also C9: Quilted Heart Dies.

The center medallion (PTI: Limitless Layers Circle) is popped up
with foam.

So many ways to play with the inspiration photo. Hope I see you
in the lineup!

Happy Crafting!

You Have my Heart

Hello Blogland!

I just got my computer back after a long week without it. My phone could only do
so much and thankfully and hopefully my computer drought is over.
The first card I'm posting since my computer's return, is this Valentine for PTI's MIM,
this week hostessed by Michelle Leone.
She has a lovely video showing how to use 'Lotsa Letters' on our cards.

I gathered some of my seasoned PTI stamps and dies, and worked around a banner
featuring Wet Paint Alphabet letters.
The background is stamped with an oldie called Alphabet Soup. (It's currently
marked down in the shop!) I forgot how fun this stamp is. The hearts and
sentiment within the heart are from You Have My Heart, another oldie
with a lot of heart (excuse the punning around!)

That wonderful stitched heart is part of the dies included in the die package.
The white heart is a Limitless Layers heart.

The Wet Paint letters fit perfectly on the Large Banner. Just a touch of ombre
on both the bg letters and the word Valentine.
You'll find links to the stamps and dies I used below.

Hope your week is full of crafty goodness!

Done in Love

Dies only on Day 7 of PTI's Anniversary celebration.
No stamps!

Well that's easy. Went right to my cover plates for Paper Clippings: Done in Love.

This came together quickly, so I did another, using the cover plate
to create a stencil.

Since it's the same die, used 2 ways, and since Darnell has a new 'Two-Fer' challenge,
I'm playing over there too!

Now while both cards could be used for Valentines, one is definitely a Valentine 'Love' card,
while the other is more of congratulations card (dark background)
you give for a job well done. Or it could be an encouragement card.

Keep up the challenges, Darnell. We love them!

Hope your week is a 'crafty' one! The best kind!

Love You

It's such a beautiful day today. Not at all like our winters in the valley.
Plenty of cool, crisp sunshine has me dreaming of my roses' first blooms.

PapertreyInk has a sketch challenge on their blog celebrating their
11th Anniversary!

Each of the team members has a sketch recipe for us to choose from,
and I chose Dawn McVey's.

I loved Dawn's arrangement of flowers and layers on a stenciled
background, and had fun with combining Farmer's Market Florals with
Dawn's own Gran's Garden leaf fronds.

I created the stenciled bg with one of the Modern Background Stencils,
inked with Distress Oxides: Peacock Feathers & Frayed Burlap.
The 'love you' banner is from Stemmed Statements with a sentiment from
You Have My Heart.

Here's a peek at the inside, stamped with images from You Have My Heart.

Sending this card out today, so I did a coordinating envelope, and inked the edges.

Thank you for visiting today, and hope your day is a 'crafty' one!

Love Birds

It's a gray morning here in my neck of the woods (valley),
perfect for staying indoors, watching the cooking channel,
and being creative with PTI's latest stamps and dies.

Stephanie Gold's video for MIM this week,
shows us it's OK to use many different kinds of papers for our cards.

My colorful bg paper is actually a napkin. Bright and bold, with b&w dots, I decided to
bring out all the brights from PTI.
The sentiment die is Enclosed: Heart, cut from glitter paper and Raspberry Fizz
cardstock.
I have a stash of vintage music papers my daughter gave me, and among them was
one with the words, 'sweet - heart'.
(I know, you don't luck out with that happening often, right?)
I pink inked the edges before all the gluing.
Next was to take my pink crepe paper, gather it, and heat emboss with
Stampendous: Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.

I've seriously crushed over every card I've seen made with the new Brushed Birds set.
These 2 are the small birds stamped with PTI Pinks.

Speaking of crushing, the Farmer's Market Florals? It's going to be hard not
to use them for ALL projects! Gorgeous. I stamped the leaves, first with Fine Linen
then with Vintage Jadeite. Made for an interesting color combo.
The sweet ferns are from Make It Market: Wonderland Kit. (Olive Twist ink).

A sprinkling of sequins, because, why not, and my card is ready for
someone special. Probably the DH. He's a keeper!
