Melissa Phillips shows us some creativity with gelatos for this weeks MIM,
Valentine Ombre Stamping.
Her card blends die cuts with ombre, and, as only she can,
whips up a pink parfait perfection!

I had some gelatos called 'Macaroons', I hadn't tried yet, and
way behind on my Valentines, thought I'd give Enclosed: Heart the
gelato treatment.
Aside from being way to pale to photograph well, I sort of like
the card.

And 'like' is as far as I'll go.
I filled My Favorite Things Umbrella die with the sweet blooms from Enclosed: Heart,
and added tiny pearls and pink sequins.
Embroidered Borders stamped with Spring Rain.
I loved Melissa's slim card, so went with a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" card size.
Think the pink sequins helped brighten things up a bit, but I definitely
like her rich pinks better!

  1. The pink sequins are a wonderful addition! Sequins are such a good go-to embellishment! Wonderful design!!

  2. Nancy isn't this just adorable! I love how you used these dies so perfectly!

  3. Well, I love it! So pretty with the flowers in the the umbrella and heart! It is so Miellisa, done by Nancy! :)
I'm still in awe of the kit!

  4. Oh Nancy, this is so soft and sweet! Just lovely!!!

  5. I absolutely love this! great combination of so many stamps and dies. Very creative! Your ombre on the umbrella and Love diecut are wonderful even though they aren't pink;)

  6. It is a softer card, but that's what makes it so pretty Nancy! I absolutely love the flowers in the umbrella and heart die, and your soft border frames it just beautifully! I think Melissa would love this card, and I do too!! :0)

  7. Lovely card, Nancy! Love the soft pastel shades with the ombre! Great card!

  8. So feminine, with the soft colors and sweet flower filled umbrella.

  9. Very cute, I love the soft colors on this card!

  10. Very clever, Nancy, filling the upside down umbrella with colorful flowers. Great job using ombré soft and pretty!
