Melissa Phillips shares her tips on this week's MIM video today,
featuring 'Spritzed Stamps'.
I love doing this technique. You get a watercolor effect with
very little effort. And it's just plain fun!
Melissa's beautiful examples can be seen here:
She has a way of making pastels leap of a card!
When I decided on Painted Petals, I went with a bolder combination
of Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy; inking, spritzing and wiping,
just as Melissa did.
The center is Summer Sunrise, then Avocado and Tropical Teal.
Masked off the flower, then same technique
with Background Basics: Medallions.
Had fun combining the colors on my stamp.
First with Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise, then
Aqua Mist and Ripe Avocado.
Added a few leaves, spritzing and stamping.
When all was dry, embossed the sentiment in Zing Metallic Pewter.
The 'note of thanks' is also embossed with a teal powder that came in a set
with no markings. Picked it up at Michaels a while ago.
Quick note: I used watercolor paper, as Melissa suggested, love
the effect you get with the spritzed ink.
Have a great week!
This is gorgeous!
