Transformation Tuesday: Ever So Grateful

For this week's Transformation Tuesday, at PTI, Lizzie Jones shows us an older card
which disappointed her, and then her freshened up version with an updated

Looking through my stash of cards, I found a never sent card, probably because it
didn't please for several reasons.

The Super Succulents set I used for my old card came with matching dp, and I love all the patterns.
But my card looks dated, not to mention the sentiment is hard to read.

Let's re-do!

Super Succulents has some timeless stamps and dies, and succulents are so 'in vogue'
right now. They're right at home here in my valley, and do well with our hot

I snapped a picture recently of a cactus I have that is so happy, it bloomed!
Did you know all cacti are succulents?
Honestly, I think the colors are endless, and they are super simple to propagate.

Anyway, back to the card.

Much easier to read the sentiment (Glorious Globes: August)
And the framing gives the elements more importance.

Hope you enjoyed my card's transformation.
Play along on PTI's blog post: Transformation Tuesday.

  1. Your design is fantastic, Nancy! I love the balance between the hanging succulents and the large one down below. Such gorgeous ink shading/blending! I love the double frame with the green behind, and yes, that sentiment is readable and wonderful!

  2. Yes, your 2nd card is much easier on the eyes and very pleasing Nancy! Isn't it amazing how products and OUR style evolve in just a couple of years?!! I guess that's what keeps us buying new product and creating new cards. ;)

  3. Oh goodness is your transformation ever pretty! I like the fancy frame and the pretty bloom you added below the hanging baskets. Just marvelous Nancy!

  4. Fantastic re-do, the frame looks amazing with the hanging baskets! And the featured bloom is perfect--great size and wonderful colors!

  5. Oh yes, this is stunning Nancy! The balance between the hanging pots and the larger one is simply done and allows plenty of white space. The sentiment and frame really stand out. Beautifully done!!

So happy you came for a visit. I love reading your comments!
