Create Along With Us October

It's time for PapertreyInk's 'Create Along With Us'.
There were so many wonder filled projects and cards this month.
I just drooled over every set released!
Heather's card and envelope set really caught my eye.

I loved the way she used the new Pleasing Envelopes Stamp set, stamping all
around the card, and framing her beautiful sentiment.
The matching envelope was cut from watercolor paper, and is every bit as lovely
as the card!

I didn't stray far from her design. Even using kraft as my card base, and die cutting the front
of my card with the Medium Scallop Stackers die.

I used a We R Memory Keepers punch board to make my envelope. I've done so
many of these, it's second nature now, and they always take card making up a notch!

Stamp sets used below. They are a direct link to the PTI store.

The sentiment is from Make It Market: Don't Forget to Write, but
I couldn't find it in the lineup. Afraid it might be gone. Maybe you have it?

Hope you have a great week, and hope it's full of crafting!

It's my turn today at the Poppystamps Blog, and I'm showing a
step by step method for creating a type of 'gatefold card'.

Come by for a closer look and some how-to's!

Enjoy your weekend!
Here's hoping it's extra crafty!

Card Concept: Rich Holiday

The Card Concept Challenge has a 'Rich Holiday' theme for you, with this photo:

Nothing says 'holiday' like the red of poinsettias! That inspired me to create
this card, full of the beautiful red holiday flowers.

This set from PapertreyInk truly depicts an elegant poinsettia, especially with the gold
embossed veins. Greenery from PTI's Holiday Greens.

The splatters are from Lindy's Stamp Gang: Burgandy Starburst, and they
shimmer, which is hard to see.

Do you have a poinsettia stamp in your stash? You don't have to use it, any
inspiration from the photo will do. Just choose one of the many styles
the Card Concept has on their blog, and join in the fun. Our challenges run for 2 weeks,
and there's plenty of inspiration and styles from the designers.
Can't wait to see you in the lineup!
Happy Crafting!

Pink Poinsettia

Do you love to watercolor? Want to be inspired to know more?
Read on for an exciting announcement!

Have you heard of Happy Little Stampers, '12 Days of Christmas Challenge'?
Kylie Purtell is hosting it on her blog, and there's some fab prizes to be had!

I did a watercolor with HLS's new stamp set, Christmas Joy

The poinsettia image is perfect for any type of coloring.
I chose to watercolor with my Zigs, fussy cut, and add several extra
petals and pop up the center.
'Merry Christmas' is also from the set, done in silver emboss.
Happy Little Stampers has several challenges you can play,
and I'm happy to announce I'll be joining the design team for a
new one, Watercolor Challenge, in January!

Hope you'll follow, and play along!
And hope your December is a blessed one.
Stay warm, and craft on!
Hugs!
