Hi Everyone! It's 12 Kits time!
The fabulous Lisa Elton from My Paper Tales, is our hostess this month at 12 Kits,
and she gave us the most wonderful Back to School themed elements!
I loved every bit, and made 6 cards, well,
scratch that, 5 cards, and 1 milk carton. Take a look!
Loved reading to my kiddos when they were young, and now as a grandma, have read this precious book to all 11! When I saw this darling mouse holding a book, it reminded me of
'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie'. The kids love it, and can quote most of it!
This darling milk carton die was included in the kit, along with the heart washi tape, bunny,
and sign sentiment.
Crafting a card from all these darling elements was so much fun! Don't you love the hand buttons?
It takes 2 photos to show you this card. With the flap closed...
And with the flap open, to reveal the shaker.
Love that PTI apple!
And finally, a sweet little mouse making a wish. GAed 'great job'
Oh my! I have so much yet to play with. Thank you, Lisa, for a wonderful kit!
Thank you so much for visiting. Hope you enjoyed what I did with the August kit.
Be sure and visit the other 12 Kits teammies. It always delights to see what all
do with the same elements.
And there's a special guest too. Judy Marino from Judy's Craft Corner.
Welcome, Judy!
What FUN projects!
ReplyDeleteOh my...these are just too darn cute Nancy! I love them all but your sweet milk carton is as cute as can be and your first card is simply precious (love that story by the way). Fabulous and sweet collection of cards, really love them all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always ! You always take things to the next level. the peek a boo tag shaker? Where did that come from? And OMG! The little circle tag on the dandelion puff.. brilliant! You rocked this! SO jealous!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I don't even know where to start Nancy! Like Jeanne said you took it to the next level! You got me with that very first card how creative to spell out 'read' and the cute little critter! That book was a favourite with my kids. Love how you used the milk carton and your school bus but then the shaker. How awesome! Have to keep going the last two so cute and love your colouring on everything!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that peek a boo card is way too cute and such a fun idea! Next level.....heck "Nancy" is a level all on its own! Yep crafting perfection! You made Lisa proud!
ReplyDeleteHow are you dealing with this heat??? 112 her today, can't remember when it was ever that hot!
Still we are not flooded and I am grateful!
No kidding about the "next level" my friend! You definitely outdid yourself on every one of these cards and the milk carton!! Totally in LOVE with your "READ" card...perfection!! All 3 of our girls loved that book too (and all the others in the series!) and now I love reading it to Addy too! Love your shaker card too and that sweet little mouse on your last card is so beautifully colored...love it!! And oh be still my heart...the buttons! What a FABULOUS kit to work with and can definitely tell you loved working with it!! :0)

Your cards, each and every one, are FABULOUS!! I'm off to Pin them all, I am so inspired! Thanks for having me as a guest this month -- I had a blast!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I love everything you created Nancy!! Your little milk carton is adorable and your shaker card is super clever. I really like your playful design with the bus and owl. I need to get the mouse book for Penelope, should would love that one. That little mouse worked out perfectly for you and your memories with the grandkids!! So happy you enjoyed the kit!
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore your READ card! That is such a wonderful book too. I have purchased it several times! Your milk carton is so precious--love all the great details. And what a great idea to use the lift tag as a shaker--such a cute way to use the squirrel! You did an amazing job with Lisa's kit. I LOVE every one of your fabulous creations!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I don't even know where to begin. I just want to look at all your projects over and over again. Thank goodness for Pinterest, I'm pinning them all! Add my name to the list of those who agree that you have taken these all to the next level of AWESOME! The blue owl.... So cute!! I'm so sad because I messed mine up when I was coloring him in and now I want a blue owl! You did Lisa proud using her kit the way you did. You totally rocked this month!
ReplyDeleteNancy... first of all: congrats on winning a prize at PTI this morning! YaY!
ReplyDeleteYou have created little masterpieces, my friend! I DO love those apple, and hand-shaped buttons - that's why I'm hoarding them! LOve every embossed, colored, and layered card, but that shaker has stolen my heart this month! xx

Nancy, these are all just the cutest! I love that book, too, as do my children. I am with Michele, I love all your fabulous details, but your peek-a-boo shaker stole my heart, too. I thought the little window was adorable, but how much more fun to make it a shaker. One of my nieces is going to be really grateful I saw your idea. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! You clearly were enamoured with this kit, based on the array of joyful creations you've shared here! All are gems; especially smitten with the darling bunny on the milk carton! I'll be scouting out the kit ingredients for sure; perfect for making cards for my now-in-Grade 2 niece and starting-kindergarten nephew! Thank you for the smiles!
