Poppystamps Challenge: From the Heart

We're thinking love on the Poppystamps blog, with our challenge: From the Heart.
I used the new Floral Lace Heart Split Border Craft die to create my heart card.

A big lacy heart heart has extra drama with the glitter paper. Wish you could see it irl!

Added punch with the 'Love Flourish' die cut from red glitter paper!

Come play along  all month on the Poppystamps blog here:

You Have My Heart

It's a floral challenge today on PapertreyInk' blog, celebrating their
11th Anniversary.
Mix and match florals on a card. The folks at PTI are definitely hitting
my favorite things buttons!

11 years... WOW! Congrats to team 2018!

A card with a mix of florals, I could do in my sleep.
1st of all, PTI has so many flower sets to choose from,
and 2nd, they most mix beautifully!

Mix & Mat: Hearts die on a Hibiscus Burst card base, has a Pure Poppy shadow behind
the hearts.
Farmer's Market Florals hasn't left my worktable since it hit my front door.
It's mixed with Gran's Garden, Garden Party and Ivy & Bloom on a vellum sentiment strip
from You have My Heart.

Are you playing along with their celebration?
Check it all out on the PTI blog.

PTI's 10th Anniversary: Love

We're celebrating 10 years of stamping with PTI, and
todays focus is stamps produced in 2009.
I didn't have any of the 5 sets hi-lighted, but chose to be
inspired by Dawn's premier set, Damask Designs.
Using another of her sets, Enclosed: Hearts, I made a shaker
with the flower stamp encircling the masked die cut heart.
The stamps in Damask Designs could be used any which way,
and I think that's also true of the sweet little flower stamp in
Enclosed: Heart.

Berry Sorbet, Vintage Jadeite, & Pure Poppy Inks.
Plaid paper from PTI's Beautiful Beads Pink & Orange Mix.
(Remember when we all made paper beads?)

With Love

Make It Monday this week, with Melissa Phillips and
Masked Heart Wreaths.
Melissa's video can be seen on Nichole's blog, here:

Melissa suggests other shapes to use as a mask, but
love the heart shape for my birthday message, and masked with Limitless Layers: Heart.

Love this simple way to showcase a sentiment!
Plan to do several more using this mask technique.
I cut my mask from copy paper, and when I touched up a few flower
centers, it bled a bit.
Afterwards I remembered Melissa used the heart center
she had left over, and it was card stock. Always follow the instructor!

All the blooms and leaves from the following:
Mini Booms, Bloomin' Cute, & Make It Market: Garden Gild.
Inks: Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Berry Sorbet, Pale Peony, & Prairie Grass.
Noted: A1 Die
Pale Peony Cardstock.

PTI's MIM and A La Carte

PapertreyInk's Make It Monday challenges and tutorials
are always the best.
Each week their talented designers bring us something
to learn, post their gorgeous samples,
AND there's a prize at the end of the week.
Not only all of the above, but I've met the most
wonderful friends over the years!
The busy holidays brought us some time off,
and I missed the PTI posts and challenges,
until now!
This week we look back, and pick one of our favorites.
Dawn's Sponged Stamping is a perfect technique for
the new Swan'sational stamps.
Solid color, ombre blended really gives dimension to the swan.

I paired Swan'sational with Coverplate: In the Woods, cut twice, with
SS White, and Amethyst Allure.
All over an ink blended bg.
Hard to see, Wink of Stella on some of the swan. (top photo)
Honestly enjoyed this technique so much,
did a bunch more swans for a few more cards.

Paired this pinked swan with To Have and to Hold and Inspired: Love.
Noted: A2 dies.
Heart wreath stamped twice, first in versamark with white
then again in Lilac Grace.
And finally, a set of cards with another scripture from
Inspired: Love

Loved how this turned out on the Kraft, so I did a pair.

Always nice to have a few cards on hand to lift someone's spirits.

And so nice to be back in the crafting groove!

PTI's 8th Anniversary: Build a bouquet

Welcome back to day 4 of Papertrey's Anniversary celebration.
Our challenge today is to 'Build a Bouquet'.
Since there's nothing I love more than to build anything with PTI's
stamps and dies, this was, for me, the most fun yet!
Part of the fun was combining more than one floral stamp set to
create our bouquet.

My bouquet is built around a Limitless Layers heart.
The white laurel is embossed on vellum, layered on Dark Chocolate, then Sweet Blush card stocks.
Bouquet is from: Rosie Posie & Rosie Posie Step 2, Friendly Flowers and Mum's the Word.
I stamped Melissa's laurel from Stamp-A-Faire 2014 Regency Style along the left side in
Sweet Blush, and put a strip of Dark Chocolate striped dp on the right.
the sentiment is embossed with a charcoal powder (but I don't like it, so I'm not
saying who makes it! Ha!)
Inks are Pure Poppy, Scarlett Jewel, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado.

Things are happily a mess in my craft room, there's snips and ink and, well
you know, everywhere!
The challenges continue, but the the fun & prizes are worth the mess!
