The Flower Challenge Reminder #70: CAS

Summer's in full swing in CA's Central Valley, hot and dry!
Keeping my precious flowers alive and blooming is always a task,
and sometimes it works, sometimes, with temps at over 100 for weeks,
it's a loosing battle...

Fortunately, there's no shortage of colorful blooms in the craft room!
I'm bringing a reminder of our challenge at the Flower Challenge: CAS,
Clean and Simple.

One central focus, with lots of white space.

Pick a favorite flower and play along!

Just Saying Hello

Hi there! Hope you like floral cards, because this post is all about dancing
petals, wild rich color, and full of my love of florals.

Altenew has a challenge for the month of March, featuring a field of wondrous reds, greens
and soft grey blue.

Irresistible if you love lifelike flowers, multi stamping for realism, petals
that wave in the breeze, and stems and leaves that beg for shading,
you're familiar with Altenew'ss. Build a Flower series. I'm a fan.
Particularly my newest, Build a Fower: Poppy.
Sentiment: Build a Flower: Japanese Mum, white embossed on a
Stamplorations tag.

There are 3 stamps for each bloom; a linestamp and 2 stamps for
dimension. Once I stamped my 3 big blooms, I added copics for further depth.
Then did the same for my leaves. The smaller white flowers are included
in the set, and the trio of leaves I used to stamp the side panel, as well.

Also entering the Flower Challenge, Anything Goes, a blog challenge that
'celebrates cards using floral images'.

Monochromatic Color Pop 'Hello'

MIM at PapertreyInk features Stephanie Gold with a fun technique of
creating Monochromatic cards with a touch of Color Pop.

My card has a bit more than just, 'pop'. More 'pop, pop, pop'. Well you get the idea.
Once I started with the Aqua Mist, I just loved the contrast against the Stormy Sea,
and popped more color than the challenge calls for.
I do love the effect, and always love the idea of framing my sentiment, the
way Stephanie did.

Hello

Create Along With Us, this month, has so many beauties, it's been
the hardest to pick one to case.
Couldn't take my eyes off Betsy's beauty, featuring the new tropical
stamps and dies, along with some of the dies from last month's release.

Oh my, just look at what she called, 'Hawaiian Shirt background'.
My 'shirt' needs more practice, but with the steps she laid out
so perfectly, I'll definitely do again!

Tropical color combos, and Leave It Be stamp and die set, sort of look like
sea fans....
