A new challenge at the Card Concept,  Vacation Time. This rustic, cabin-esque photo
has a painting of a lake, which inspired my Clean and Layered card below

We'd love to see your take on the inspiration photo. Come, play along!

Stamps, dies and Stencils: the Greetery

A P.S. to this post:

I wanted to add reflection  to the water, of the tree trunks, and a bit darker around the shoreline,
did so with copics. The results were just what this card needed!

A closer look at the changes.

Liking the additions!

Hope your week is full of crafty goodness

The Card Concept: Anchors Aweigh

Anchors Aweigh is the theme for the new Card Concept Challenge.

Crisp red white and blue! And a fun nautical themed card, or you could go
4th of July, or ships or beauty or stripes... oh so many options!

You see that striped pillow on the couch, 2nd from the left? That inspired my Clean and
Layered card. I pieced the background with strips of cardstock, to mimic the stripes on
the pillow.

The anchor is from PTI's Ahoy, copper embossed several times, and the circles are from
the Greetery (white) and Poppystamps (blue).

And the sweet little tag 'anchored' to the anchor is also from the Ahoy stamp set.

Don't forget to add our inspiration photo to your post to be eligible to win!
Can't wait to see what inspired you in our photo!

Thank You, Altenew!

It's a happy day when a stamp company gifts you with a special stamp, with your name
in the set!

Included in my Atenew order this month, was a sweet stamp set, with my name!
Seems Altenew is celebrating 7 years of producing the absolute best in card making,
and they are blessing their customers with a personalized gift!

The small set is packed with 'wow', calling for a 2 step process for both flower and leaves.
I created a background, before adding my thank you (Best Sentiments) in one of the windows,
and fussy cut a few bolder blooms popped up.

The solid leaves are from Rose Flurries 3D Die set.

A big 'Thank You', Altenew! And looking forward to more of your fabulousness
in years to come!

Market Basket Birthday Card

A warm spring day with nothing pressing, and a delivery of the Greetery's newest.
Just couldn't wait to play with all the new goodies!

Oh, that basket! Fell in love during the release, and couldn't wait to play.

The die set gives you a choice of 3 sizes, this is the largest. I've done this treatment
several times before to simulate copper patina. Simply cut the basket from blue
green, or aqua cardstock (PTI's Hawaiian Shores), and randomly pat the die cut
with an embossing pad. Sprinkle with copper embossing powder (Wow superfine),
and the result is aged copper patina. I gave my basket a paper lining of vellum, sort of
mutes the stamped background.

The Tulips Botanicals allow you to color anyway you like, or simply die cut from
colored cardstock. So many choices! Can't wait to try watercolors. Or maybe
pastels!

Did you get the basket die? It sold out quickly, but the Greetery's great at
restocking. Wishing to spend the weekend with more stamps, but they'll have
to wait. Mother's Day and family and barbecue and swimming... all planned
for this special weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!

Delightful Digits

Greetings my card making friends!
Enjoying all the new goodies from the Greetery, and started with the Delightful
Digits Die.

The release is a celebration of stamps and dies that play delightfully well each other
and I love how it works well with their previous sets too.

I had in mind a card for celebrating a 2nd year milestone. I'll bet you can guess who it's for!

The detailing on the hand is amazing! You get to add nail polish and jewelry!

Just had to add an a stamped envelope to match the card! Love that sheer sleeve!

Delightful Digits is, well, delightful!
I'll post later with several other color combos I played with.

The Greetery

Delightful Digits die, Bold Numbers die, Holding Hands stamp and die sets,
Flower Market Bouquet,  Crimped Circles die.

Concord and 9th Love Card

Hello friends! I recently got some of C9's newest, and among the stamps and dies was
this floral from the Painted Peony set.

I am always in need of Birthday cards, and LOVE the sweet little script of 'Sending love'
added to the corner. Inside, the birthday sentiment can be personalized.

I die cut several of the peony, and stamped it with 3 coordinating colors, using Altenew Inks.
Visualizing colors together always helps!

The top bloom is the only die cut flower, the 2 side blooms are stamped onto the card front.

The lacy edging is part of their new release as well.

Hope you're having a good weekend, with lots of time to create wonderful
cards!

The Card Concept: Happy Mother's Day

Welcome friends! It's time for a new challenge at the Card Concept, and the photo
inspiration below is a favorite!

Don't you just want to enjoy sitting at this table! I was inspired by the transferware
pot, the crisp blue and clear white, and the gorgeous blooms to create my
Clean and Layered card.

My unforgettable, and awfully missed mom is in heaven, but I created a Thinking
of You card with C9's wonderful new dies. The background stamp is from the
Stamp Market.

I did a quick and loose watercolor on the floral part of the frame, and cut the frame die 3
times, gluing them together for dimension.

Hope you play along. The stunning inspiration photo can be interpreted in so
many ways. Remember to include the photo on your post to be eligible to win.

Have a wonderful week!

The Card Concept: Loads of Lavender

Hi and welcome to my post today. The Card Concept has a new challenge, called,
Loads of Lavender. Check our the the challenge photo.

Colors, subject, and the lavender stems inspired my card. The problem I had
was, I have no lavender plant stamps!

I paired some of Betsy Veldmans' Greetery stamps (Simple Things) with another of her
sets from PTI, Herb Garden.

I call my card Clean and Layered, (maybe not so clean?), definitely layered.
Our challenges are for 2 weeks. Hope you'll read the rules, one of which is to
post the challenge photo on your blog. Can't wait to see how you're  inspired.

Thanks for the visit! See you in the lineup!

The Greetery :

Simple Things, Opposites Attract, Shiplap die

Waffle Flower Guest Designer

It's a happy day dance I'm doing today! I get to be a guest designer for Waffle Flower!
My über talented friend, Jeanne Jackna asked if I'd join her team to showcase
WF's April weekly challenge. The theme for April is sewing, and I'm featuring one
of their stitching dies.

I love any sort of needlework, and crosshatch is a favorite.

The die is called Stitchable Pinking Rectangle, just right for any pattern you'd like
to create. They even include one with the die.

Originally I chose these 3 colors of embroidery thread, but changed my mind after
starting the card. (OK, don't judge me, I'm fickle!)

I started with the green, full 6 strands, and carefully counted my holes between the
diagonals. Next the green, then teal, and finally grey and darker green in the opposite
direction. This is a pleasant evening's work while watching TV, and I loved the look of the
pale blue behind and through the unstitched holes.
The added die cut is Waffle Flower's Potted Lily. The sentiment is included in
the stamp set.

Lots of foam pop ups for extra dimension.

Hope you'll play along with this week's challenge, and try your hand at one or more of
Waffle Flower's Pinking dies. There are many in the shop, all shapes and sizes!

Hope you're enjoying a happy healthy spring!
