Card Set for Alisa

Hi there!
Do you have your own fan club? Have to say, (totally puffed up), I do.
My family thinks I'm so talented. Not even going to tell them it's the
stamp companies, and all you brilliant inspirers that should get credit.

My daughter asked for some general cards, (she apparently ran out of the 32,000 I've
already given her!), and I was thrilled to have an excuse to play with my Greetery's
new Wild Elegance.

Now here comes the warning: this is a long post. Feel free to scroll quickly. Or, if
you like details, take your time, look around, and please comment. Oh, I love those
comments!

Alisa is a worship pastor at her husband's church, and the women's pastor as well.
She keeps in touch with the flock with calls, cards and plans all their retreats.
(Did I mention cards?) I LOVE that my cards go to women who love God.

The 4 cards I did for her are from the Greetery's newest release, Wild Elegance.
If you pushed that button for the full release, you received stamps, stencils, dies,
and a whole lot of inspiration from the Greetery's Look Book.

This bouquet, for instance comes with an outline stamp and stencils for coloring.
One card uses the stencils, the other copics and pencils.

I paired Lovely Silhouettes with the rubber stamp Elegant Arches for these cards.

I did some fun stenciled envelopes for the cards as well. (Thanks Kelly Lunceford
for the reminder).

Hope you weren't too bored, and maybe got some ideas to do a card set of your own.
And I'll bet you've also got your own fan club... we all deserve it!
Have a great weekend.

A Card for Ana

My Granddaughter recently turned 17, and I made this card for her.

The number 17 (the Greetery), is encircled by Altenew's Mid Century Frame die.

The card is sprayed with a shimmer spray, to give it even more glam.

Happy Birthday, Ana!

The Greetery: Nouveau Notes Collection

Greetings friends, from a very smokey valley, this Tuesday morning. Fires north and
south, and we're in the middle... my heart is with those fighting the fires, many in
over 100 degree temperature.
Meanwhile, joy in the craft room. 💕

I purchased the Greetery's Nouveau Notes Collection, and also a foil Glimmer Machine to
add foiling to my cards. Don't know why I resisted foiling until now, but after watching
Lori Willison's You Tube video, I was won over!

This is how I roll... learning my tool through trying every foil color on just about every
cardstock color. Btw, Betsy's Hot Foil Deco Plate worked perfectly every time!

The first card I did was a birthday card with the use of the stencil set included in the kit.

The Greetery's Lookbook is such a help! I kept referring to the designer's color
and design choices to decide what to use.

Another birthday card using pink glimmer cardstock and copper foil.

The photo corner dies were cut from copper and navy cardstock.

The card set I did includes 6 cards, and 6 matching envelopes, which fit perfectly in the
 note card box.

The note cards are foiled with copper foil onto Pale Peony (PTI) cardstock.
The Floral Delicacy bough is a multi-stamp affair, that lines up and stamps easily.
I added copics for further detail. The single jewel from Memory Box (Open Studio)
fits perfectly within the diamond.

The 6 notecards and envelopes fit easily inside the completed box. I love that Betsy
added the dotty detail around the cutout!

Stamped reverse side.

Watching Norine Buoys' video on constructing the card box helped immensely. She
has a few tricks, like adding a lining to hide the line between the flap and box.

I'm on a waiting list for the magnets, they're currently sold-out in the shop.
Meanwhile, I found some similar at Hobby Lobby. Not on line but in the shop. Don't
like them as well as the Greetery's, but I hid them inside the box and behind a flower.

Well, it's back to crafting, very glad I have a few new stamps and dies to play with.
Hoping you're staying well and enjoying the last few days of summer!

Birthday Geraniums

Greetings from Central CA, where our temps are just perfect for ripening fruit.
Not so perfect for long walks, outdoor picnics and much needed gardening.
So I'm indoors, crafting, playing with the new Greetery Summer release!

Botanicuts: Geraniums... LOVE!
Trying the die cuts with watercolors, and kept a loose, let it happen touch.
Here's my technique: Die cut from watercolor cardstock, light spray with water, touch
with paint, it happens!
Once the pieces are dry, you can add deeper color to accentuate the veins, or not,
your choice.

I love to make envelopes special too. And find Betsy's stamps ideal to compliment the
cards. Her style coordinates throughout each release. They work so  well with each
other. Also love having a birthday stash ready to go!

Watercolor tips?
Don't overwork, keep it loose, above all enjoy the process. And, toss what you
don't like! Remember what colors work well together and what create mud, and
you're good to go!

Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
The Greetery: Botanicuts: Geraniums, Postal Frame, Window Pane Plaid BG,
Pretty Postmarks, Birthday Blooms, Let's Have a Word: Birthday

Memory Box: Garden Folly designer paper, Fairy Jewels

Market Basket Birthday Card

A warm spring day with nothing pressing, and a delivery of the Greetery's newest.
Just couldn't wait to play with all the new goodies!

Oh, that basket! Fell in love during the release, and couldn't wait to play.

The die set gives you a choice of 3 sizes, this is the largest. I've done this treatment
several times before to simulate copper patina. Simply cut the basket from blue
green, or aqua cardstock (PTI's Hawaiian Shores), and randomly pat the die cut
with an embossing pad. Sprinkle with copper embossing powder (Wow superfine),
and the result is aged copper patina. I gave my basket a paper lining of vellum, sort of
mutes the stamped background.

The Tulips Botanicals allow you to color anyway you like, or simply die cut from
colored cardstock. So many choices! Can't wait to try watercolors. Or maybe
pastels!

Did you get the basket die? It sold out quickly, but the Greetery's great at
restocking. Wishing to spend the weekend with more stamps, but they'll have
to wait. Mother's Day and family and barbecue and swimming... all planned
for this special weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!

Greetings from Central CA, where the rain is coming down, (praise God in Heaven!),
and I'm playing with the Greetery's new goodies, which arrived 2 days sooner than
was planned. Another reason to rejoice!

My daughter is celebrating a birthday at the end of this month, and the new
Heart Leaf Posey Pocket dies were just aching to be played with!

The layout of cascading hearts was inspired by one of Betsy's photos during
the release. Such a lovely layout, with bright new shaped dies! And that 'love'
script! Gorgeous!

I plan to make valentines with the largest Heart Leaf Jumbo die, but meanwhile
a much needed birthday card is off to a very special daughter.

Thanks for visiting! Don't you just love the newest Greetery release? I was
hooked with the first sneak peek!

A Quartet of Pine Blossom

Hi and Happy New Year!
Well, the New Year is off to a happy start. Saturday was one of those days
with no one around, quiet and chores free. Way too good a day to waste!
The holidays came and went so fast, I hadn't used the Greetery's Pine Blossom
at all, and there it was right on the top of my order.

I die cut and stamped the bouquet and flowers in several colors.
I hadn't used the Berry Branch Stencil either. 1st inked, then played with
stencil paste in a couple of colors.

My stash of birthday cards is low, so all 4 cards were done for winter birthdays.

My outdoor garden is sleeping right now. It's down to freezing where I live,
but on this card it's bright and happy.

I just love the new bow Betsy created. So open and animated!

And finally one with my favorite greeting, blessings.

Nothing better than a crafty weekend!

Here's a list of what I used: All Greetery
Pine Blossom stamp set and dies
Fit to be Tied die
Inside Out Berry Branch die
Berry Branch stencil
Terrarium die
Knit Wits stencil
Nordic Frames die

The 12 Kits of Occasions: December 2018

Welcome to 12 Kits of Occasions, where 12 designers play with a new kit each
month, and wow the pants off each other (and hopefully you), with their takes
on all the kit's fun elements!
Speaking of welcome, help us welcome Marcia Hill from Marcia's Stamping Pad
to our group. I first met Marcia through blogging, and we met up in person at
the Kraft House in Newton, Kansas. 6 of us became best buds from then on, and
I'm tickled to embrace her talent onto this team!
Ok, what's in store this month? Michelle Leone sent us stamps and dies I don't
have, and folks let me tell you, they, along with joyous card stock colors made
card making a delight.
My stash ran very low, especially birthday cards, and I used almost ALL
the fabulous die cuts and designer paper she sent us!
Are you comfy? Let's take a look.

Oh those colors! And this card assembled itself! (well practically)
Note those gems (included in the kit). Think I used
them on almost all my cards.

I didn't have one llama in my stash, and Michelle sent 3! Can you believe it?
Grandma to 11kiddies had not ONE llama.
Well, now I'm on a mission... a llama mission!

Michelle sent this little guy with an option to use a flower, a nut or an apple.
The flower and scarf seemed perfect to give to someone on the road to healing.

Llama no. 2 needed some sparkling in front of a night sky filled with gems.

Michelle is well known for her daring combos of both color and pattern,
and she sent us somany gorgeous patterns in corals and blues,
I just had to case her style!

Love the PTI Mandala, and it's on my wish list! What fun in these bright colors!

My last card wishes you all a Happy New Year. Let's start with today, and a shaker full of
blessings!

Thanks, Michelle! What a kit. Can you tell I loved it?

Before I send you off to the other ladies, help me sadly wish Michele Ferguson
and Jessica Davisthe best as they leave our group.
Honestly wish they could stay forever, but you
know how life can get in the way of crafting...
Love to you my friends!
And some huge XOXO to Michelle Leone for a wonder filled kit!
