A Card for Ana

My Granddaughter recently turned 17, and I made this card for her.

The number 17 (the Greetery), is encircled by Altenew's Mid Century Frame die.

The card is sprayed with a shimmer spray, to give it even more glam.

Happy Birthday, Ana!

The Card Concept: Long Summer Days

Card Concept's newest challenge is: Long Summer Days.
Welcome, and just have a look at the inspiration photo... so many ways to be challenged!

Here's my card, hope it inspires too.

It also has a greeting for you, 'Happy Summer.' The Card Concept Challenge will
be on summer break, so this is the last challenge for a while.
By the way...
I was inspired by the beach theme, the colors, and the sea horses for my
Mixed Media Shaker card.
See you all in the fall!

Cards for Guys

It's been a while since I've posted for the fun of it, and I needed to do a handful of 'guy'
cards, so.... hope you enjoy. There's a lot to see! The Greetery's newest release has sets
with masculine vibes, just what I was looking for!

Dad Jokes: High Steaks... together with the new stencil set, Tartan Plaid.
Don't know about yours, but the guys in my family love their steaks rare, so this
set of cards is double whammy!

The fork through the steak, how cute is that?!

And matching Steak Knife too!

June is full of birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries for this family.
I have fallen in love with the Reflections set.

This one for a grandson turning 21.
FYI: I added tree branches through the trees, and then onto the water's reflection
with copics. The numbers were treated with Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist.

The thank you card and matching envelope are for a dear friend.

Seriously, how does she do it! The Big Plans Background stamp is brilliant! Betsy's
brilliant mind thinks of everything. We have 4 builders in our family, and this stamp
sets the stage for a man builder's card!

Nailed It says it all.

One last photo of a card done for the Card Concept Challenge.

OK, finally done, although there's more to do. Fortunately have lots left over to
do them!

Market Basket Birthday Card

A warm spring day with nothing pressing, and a delivery of the Greetery's newest.
Just couldn't wait to play with all the new goodies!

Oh, that basket! Fell in love during the release, and couldn't wait to play.

The die set gives you a choice of 3 sizes, this is the largest. I've done this treatment
several times before to simulate copper patina. Simply cut the basket from blue
green, or aqua cardstock (PTI's Hawaiian Shores), and randomly pat the die cut
with an embossing pad. Sprinkle with copper embossing powder (Wow superfine),
and the result is aged copper patina. I gave my basket a paper lining of vellum, sort of
mutes the stamped background.

The Tulips Botanicals allow you to color anyway you like, or simply die cut from
colored cardstock. So many choices! Can't wait to try watercolors. Or maybe
pastels!

Did you get the basket die? It sold out quickly, but the Greetery's great at
restocking. Wishing to spend the weekend with more stamps, but they'll have
to wait. Mother's Day and family and barbecue and swimming... all planned
for this special weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!

The Card Concept: Sweetheart Sweets

Hi and welcome to a new challenge at the Card Concept called: Sweetheart Sweets.
If you love joining in on the fun of a card challenge, The Card Concept has
fabulous inspiration for you.

So much to inspire in this photo, I hardly knew where to begin! Finally settled on
the Valentine colors and of course, sweets!

The style of my card is mixed media. I recently got this fabulous lips stencil from SSS,
and couldn't wait to experiment with it! I did half a dozen cards in different
colors and mediums.
Method for this one? Start with pink cardstock, apply stencil, and colored stencil paste.
I use a spray on the back of the stencil to hold it in place. And I added re-inker to
my stencil paste (Altenew Pink Diamond).

Seriously love the new heart box, also from SSS, as well as that skinny heart and arrow die.
The images are from For My Sweet. I white embossed the heart box onto dark brown
card stock, and painted with metallics.

Head on over to the Card Concept to see what the other designers have for you,
I know you'll be inspired to play along! Don't forget to include our photo
inspiration on your post, as well as tell us what style your card is. There are
several we have listed on the style page, if you don't find what you like, combine
or create one of your own!

Can't wait to see your creation!
Have a wonderful crafty week! The best kind!

The Card Concept: Holiday Home

It's a new challenge at the Card Concept, and we have a cozy inspiration photo
to ignite some holiday spirit.

The buffalo plaid is so popular now, and that's what gave me the idea to
cover my background with the Greetery's Square dance die and stencil set.
I recently say Betsy Veldman use the technique to create this look on her
blog. Simply wonderful effect!

My Christmas card uses a few other Greetery products besides Squaredance, Botanicuts:
Pine Bough, Banner & Bough. The berries are from PTI's Spruce & Sprigs.

I LOVE making Christmas cards, and receiving them too! We all need a little
Christmas this year! Stay well my friends!

Keeping Christmas ~ May

4 Happy Reindeer tags, and a card too ~ It's time for Keeping Christmas,
group of friends that are helping to inspire all of us to Keep Christmas in our
hearts. Making a few cards for our Christmas stash helps to make the season
brighter too!

My card has a family of deer by Stamplorations set against a forest of glittery trees.

Here's a closer look at the glitter paper I used that cuts so beautifully. The snowy background
is a super wide Washi from Poppystamps over a PTI Hawaiian Shores card stock.

4 coordinating tags began their life as Luggage tags from Stamplorations. Lindy's
Magicals on the tag, and once dry, I copic colored
the reindeer (Christmas Reindeer) and added stickles to the antlers and red Nuvo
drops to the nose.

Once upon a Christmas, I purchased the white snowflake sequins from Target,
and gave them love with glitter.

The sentiments are also from the Christmas Reindeer stamp set.

I made a promise to myself to make matching envelopes for each Christmas card
created. So far so good. This one with Magicals dusting powder.

The other designers have some wonderful creations for you. Be sure to
visit them all!
